Abeking & Rasmussen Yachts

Abeking & Rasmussen Yachts

The history of this German company dates back to 1907 when Henry Rasmussen and Georg Abeking founded the shipyard in Lemwerder. Although they began with commercial sail and motor yachts, mostly in wood, the yard quickly gained a reputation for imaginative designs and quality craftsmanship. Private clients soon began requesting their own ships and During World War I, Abeking & Rasmussen built naval vessels—mainly minesweepers and torpedo dinghis. Since then, the yard has continued to serve all three spheres of the marine market: private, commercial, and military.

Over the decades, the size of Abeking & Rasmussen’s builds grew and their preferred material shifted toward steel and aluminum. The yard has long partnered with research institutes to ensure the materials and technology used are state of the art. Today, this yard has a solid reputation within the yachting community for detailed workmanship and incredibly luxurious superyachts. Their builds are continuously popular on the sale and charter market.
