94’/28.65m M/Y Conquest of 1966 for sale with IYC
IYC is pleased to announce the latest addition to the IYC sales fleet: 94’/28.65m M/Y Conquest of 1966. This historic motor vessel is newly listed for sale by Christian Ekeberg of the IYC Monaco office.
As her name suggests, the vessel was built in 1966 under a design by D.J. (Rick) Richardson. After her hull was constructed in Spain, she travelled to England to undergo the highest quality outfitting available at that time. Over the years she has undergone numerous refits, cumulating in a full yet sympathetic restoration in 2011, which returned her to her former glory. Originally built for British actor Sir Norman Wisdom for him to cruise in the blue waters of the Mediterranean, Conquest of 1966 is the epitome of Riviera chic.
Conquest of 1966’s hull features a timeless design that looks as elegant now as it did the day she launched. Several different deck spaces offer both the best of the yachting lifestyle and plenty of privacy for guests. The sundeck features a large U-shaped sofa fore and shaded sun pads aft, with sun loungers in between. This space has been designed to give uninterrupted views of the surrounding ocean, and does not disappoint. The aft deck provides a sheltered space to enjoy al fresco meals, with a dining table that seats 10 guests comfortably. From the aft deck a walkway wraps around the vessel, allowing guests to promenade to the foredeck, which holds sofa seating with a dinette and sun pads for sunbathing. Numerous water toys, including a RIB tender, Waverunners, waterskis and inflatables offer yet more enjoyment out on the water.
Stepping inside, a relaxed modern look is achieved with the use of neutral colors and textured soft furnishings. The main salon is a haven of tranquility, with two inbuilt L-shaped sofas and relaxing armchairs for guests to sink into. Nine guests can be comfortably accommodated in the vessel’s four air conditioned cabins, which include a master suite, VIP stateroom and triple cabin. The master is a particularly generous space, with a full beam layout. Additional accommodation for four crew members ensures exemplary service can be enjoyed by guests. With technology also upgraded at her last refit, she travels at 11 knots with a range of 800 miles, with Vosper stabilizers to improve comfort.
