IYC at the 10th Mediterranean Yacht Show: A Landmark Presence in Greece

12th May 2025

The Mediterranean Yacht Show returned to Nafplio this year celebrating its 10th anniversary. With renewed energy, IYC marked the occasion with a commanding presence. With 25 yachts on display, IYC represented nearly a quarter of the entire fleet present, delivering one of the most impressive lineups in the show's and the company's history. With standout charter yachts, IYC's presence underscored the company's leadership in the Mediterranean market. We were also proud to participate in the highly anticipated Chef and Tablescaping Competition, where our yachts secured first place in both A+ Platinum categories for Best Chef and Best Tablescaping thanks to the exceptional talents of Chef Ioannis Pirpiridis on board 148' (45m) BELLA STELLA and Chief Stewardess Evelyn Rich on board 213' (65m) ARTISAN. Below we recap the many highlights of the week, including our event activations, valued partnerships, and unforgettable moments shared with clients, brokers, and crew.

A Warm Welcome in the Heart of Nafplio

We officially kicked off the week with an opening soirée hosted in the historic center of Nafplio, bringing together our on-site team and the captains across our fleet. With the support of our event partner Lind Surfboards, the evening was a celebration of connection and collaboration. High attendance and a vibrant atmosphere set the tone for what proved to be an exciting and successful show. It was a meaningful opportunity to reunite with familiar faces, welcome new industry partners, and toast to the season ahead.

A Commanding Presence: IYC's Fleet at MEDYS

This year, IYC showcased a remarkable fleet, representing about 25% of the yachts on display. Our lineup of 25 exceptional yachts underscored our commitment to excellence and leadership in charter management. Among the standout vessels was 213' (65m) ARTISAN, renowned for her expansive 1,722 sqft (160 sqm) master suite and luxurious amenities, including a private forward deck, office, and lounge area . Other notable yachts included 195' (59m) IDYLLIC, with smart home technology and top-class facilities, 184' (56m) AELIA, a tri-deck yacht featuring eight lavish cabins and a dedicated gym, and 164' (50m) Perini Navi ALMYRA II, combining high-performance sailing with ocean cruising comfort.

Also on display was 164' (50m) ZIA, a super-spacious yacht that recently completed a full 2024 refit, offering a contemporary interior, extensive outdoor areas, and a brand-new Technohull Omega 47 chase boat, new to the IYC fleet, 151' (46m) Feadship ANCALLIA who impressed with her classic lines, fully rebuilt structure, and cinema room, following an extensive rebuild and 2023 refit. Meanwhile, the multi-award winning 126' (39m) NAIA, revealed the results of her fresh 2024 interior transformation by Garibaldi Architects, merging sophisticated design with charter-friendly features such as a 2024 Axopar chase boat and a wide array of water toys.

Among others, the further IYC featured yachts included BENIK, KINTARO, LET IT BE, IDYLLE, OAK, DALOLI, NOAEMA, SANJANA, and ELVI, completing a lineup that not only showcased IYC’s breadth of choice but reinforced our position as a market leader in luxury yacht charter in Greece and worldwide.

Culinary and Creative Excellence on Display

The Mediterranean Yacht Show’s Chef and Tablescaping Competitions are among the most anticipated events of the week, offering a platform for crew to express both gastronomic and artistic mastery. This year’s theme, "Greek Cuisine: A Gastronomic Journey Through the Years", invited chefs to explore the essence of Greek culinary heritage, interpreting time-honored flavors through a contemporary lens. From reinvented regional dishes to creations rooted in seasonal, hyper-local ingredients, the competition celebrated Greece not just as a cuisine, but as a story told through taste. Alongside this culinary showcase, the Tablescaping Competition highlighted the creativity and finesse of chief stewards and stewardesses, challenging them to transform dining tables into expressive, immersive works of art. We’re proud to share that IYC claimed first place in both the A+ Platinum categories, culinary and tablescaping, thanks to the incredible talent of Chef Ioannis Pirpiridis on board 148' (45m) BELLA STELLA and Chief Stewardess Evelyn Rich on board 213' (65m) ARTISAN, once again affirming the exceptional standard of excellence across our charter fleet.

Finally, we’re deeply grateful to our trusted partners who continue to elevate the yachting experience for our clients, show after show. On this occasion, special thanks go to LIND Surfboards, whose stunning boards and live demos brought a vibrant edge to our display, and gave them the perfect platform to showcase the latest in luxury water toys.
