Admiral 72 by G. Armani: Hull 1 Launched, Hull 2 Set For IYC Charter Fleet

15th May 2025

IYC is proud to share the latest developments for the 236' (72m) Admiral 72 by G. Armani, Giorgio Armani-designed superyachts. This month, The Italian Sea Group officially launched the first hull of the series under its Admiral brand.

IYC has been fully involved with both hulls of this project, continuing a decade-long partnership with The Italian Sea Group on some of the industry's most exciting custom new builds. These specific models combine Giorgio Armani's signature styles with the latest technological innovation and performance from the Italian yard.

Michel Chryssicopoulos, IYC Global Managing Partner, has led the project from the outset, brokering the sale of both hull one and hull two, and managing the resale of hull one in May last year.

"These yachts represent more than just incredible design; they reinvent traditional yacht building by pushing the boundaries of innovation, space, and aesthetics. It's been a privilege to manage this project alongside The Italian Sea Group and to bring Armani's design vision to life in the superyacht world," comments Michel.

Both fully-custom hulls, penned inside and out by Giorgio Armani boast an impressive 1,950 GT and 6,000 nautical mile range. The full-displacement steel yachts with an aluminium superstructure feature standout amenities such as an expansive 180 square-meter owner's deck, accommodation spanning six-ensuite cabins, a vast beach club and wellness area, owner’s deck and sun deck pools, and plenty of alfresco dining areas thanks to fold-out terraces.

Attention is now on hull two, which is still under construction, with its build phase progressing rapidly at Admiral's Marina di Carrara shipyard. "Both identical hulls are extraordinary, with innovative lines and unlike any profile that has come before them - focussing on indoor-outdoor living and an impressive selection of exciting amenities," Michel adds.

Alongside the contemporary exteriors, the interiors - also courtesy of Giorgio Armani - showcase refined Italian luxury, emphasizing texture, light, and elegance. Material selections include high-end Rubelli fabrics in custom palettes, sophisticated wood finishes, and luxurious stones. Each cabin will feature unique fabric and stone pairings, including pale blues, neutral, silvers, and gold tones.

Expected delivery for the second yacht is scheduled for May 2026. Upon completion, the yacht will join the IYC charter fleet. Thanks to its ice-class hull and range capabilities, the anticipated yacht for charter will offer guests the exciting opportunity for worldwide cruising itineraries and to experience a design-led superyacht.

"Our team is managing the build closely to ensure every detail lives up to the standard expected from an Armani project, and to ensure the yacht delivers an exceptional charter experience. We are so excited to welcome hull two to our charter fleet next year.”

Michel and the IYC team continue to oversee the project, reaffirming our full-service approach, from new build management and brokerage to charter services. Contact our expert consultants today to discuss your next new build project and our charter management services.
