Shipyard History

Founded in 1873, Benetti is one of the best known luxury yachting brands, and IYC’s team has worked on the sale and charter of a number of significant Benetti builds. The yard has facilities in Viareggio and Livorno, and specializes in the production of custom and semi-custom luxury yachts. Solid construction and a reputation for excellence has kept Benetti among the top-ranked builders in the world and their yachts are recognized worldwide.

Benetti was purchased by the Azimut Group, owned by Paolo Vitelli, in 1985, to form the Azimut-Benetti Group. The two well-known Italian yacht brands combined into one big luxury yacht builder that produces boats that are popular for both sale and charter. Benetti is always active with the release of new models, which helps to maintain its popularity with clients.

Thanks to the high-quality construction, generous volumes and cleverly designed spaces, Benetti builds are a popular choice on the brokerage market, with several Benetti yachts available for sale and charter through IYC.

Shipyard Specialty

Building in composite, aluminum and steel, Benetti’s facilities total over 300,000sqm at three yard sites. Able to build yachts from 34m to over 100m, the yard has built more than 400 yachts in its long history.
