Availability in the charter market can change quickly, particularly during peak seasons and in high-demand destinations. The most sought-after yachts are often reserved well in advance, leaving limited time to secure preferred dates and options.
RESERVE allows you to place an immediate hold on your selected yacht and dates, for a yacht charter of seven days or more, giving you priority access while charter details and logistics are finalized.
By reserving your preferred yacht first, you gain the time and flexibility to refine your itinerary, confirm arrangements, and finalize plans without risking the loss of your selected option. Reservation requests remain flexible prior to contract execution, allowing you to move forward with greater confidence while maintaining the ability to adjust or cancel before signing.
Secure, Flexible, Transparent
Placing a reservation request through RESERVE requires a 5% authorization hold of the total charter fee, with a minimum amount of €2,500. This confirms your intent and temporarily reserves your selected yacht and dates while charter details are finalized.
No funds are charged at this stage. Payment is only processed once the charter request has been approved by the owner and a charter agreement has been signed. At this point, the reservation will become a confirmed booking with the 5% deposit being charged to the user’s credit or debit card
Users have full flexibility in the reservation process, and can choose to cancel at any time before signing the Charter Agreement.

Steps for Reserving Your Yacht Online
1. Submit Your Reservation Request
Select your preferred yacht, dates, and destination directly on iyc.com. Complete the RESERVE form, provide your card details for the authorization hold, and submit your reservation request. You will receive a confirmation email once your request has been successfully submitted.
2. Connect With Your IYC Charter Consultant
An IYC Charter Consultant will promptly contact you to review your charter requirements, including your preferred itinerary, guest details, onboard preferences, special requests, and any equipment or experiences you may wish to arrange.
3. Owner Review & Reservation Acceptance
Your reservation request will be presented to the yacht owner for approval. Once accepted, you will receive confirmation of the reservation along with a full charter cost breakdown to proceed with the booking. If the request is not accepted, your authorization hold will be released and your Charter Consultant can assist you in exploring alternative yacht options.
4. Complete the KYC Verification Process
As part of the booking process, IYC will conduct a Know Your Client (KYC) verification process. You may be asked to provide identification and supporting documentation in order to complete the required due diligence checks.
5. Review & Sign the Charter Agreement
You will receive the Charter Agreement outlining the charter terms, conditions, and payment schedule. Once all parties have signed the agreement, your reservation will become a confirmed booking and the 5% reservation amount will be charged.
6. Complete Your Charter Deposit
To confirm the booking, a 50% charter deposit is required. Following the initial reservation payment, the outstanding balance of the deposit will be due. All additional charter fees and associated charges must be paid prior to the commencement of the charter.
7. Plan Your Charter Experience
Your IYC Charter Consultant will work closely with you and the yacht’s Captain to coordinate every aspect of your charter experience, from itinerary planning and dining preferences to onboard activities and special arrangements.
8. Welcome Aboard
With planning complete and every detail arranged, your yacht and crew will be ready to welcome you on board.

“Reserve” places a booking request / hold on the yacht’s calendar and prioritizes your request for the specific dates. The Reservation will turn into a confirmed booking once (i) the Owner has accepted the charter request, (ii) a contract has been signed and (iii) the remaining charter deposit has been paid. The reservation amount will be authorized on your credit or debit card and will only be charged upon the yacht owner's acceptance and signing of the Charter Agreement.
The Reservation amount is 5% of the total estimated Charter Fee as calculated on our website, not including APA, taxes, or other additional fees. The minimum required authorisation amount is €2,500.
Your credit or debit card will only be charged upon the acceptance of your reservation by the yacht owner and the signing of the Charter Agreement. If your request is not accepted or the contract not signed for any reason, no charges will be incurred.
You may cancel your reservation at any time before signing the Charter Agreement; simply notify your charter consultant in writing. The amount that has been authorized on your card will be released.

You will receive an email confirmation that your reservation has been canceled and that we have instructed for the authorized amount on your card to be released.
The number of business days for your authorization to be released depends on the issuing bank or credit card provider.

- Talk with your Charter Consultant to confirm Charter Details: A Charter Consultant will contact you, using the details you provided when submitting your reservation request, to discuss the particulars of your charter, including itinerary and any special requests or inquiries that you may have.
- Owner Acceptance: We will coordinate with the Yacht Owner regarding your reservation, confirming all charter details. Once the Owner has agreed to the charter, we will provide you with a reservation acceptance and the final cost information, based on your itinerary and preferences, to proceed with the booking.
- KYC: IYC will request specific documentation, including proof of identity and address, to conduct the necessary Know Your Client (KYC) checks as required by regulatory authorities and financial institutions before the conclusion and execution of the Charter Agreement.
- The Charter Agreement: Once the KYC process is complete, you will receive a Charter Agreement that specifies the terms and conditions, rights and obligations of each party.
- Charter Deposit: Upon signing the Charter Agreement, a deposit of 50% of the total confirmed charter fee is required to confirm the booking. The Reservation amount will be charged to the credit card provided, and the remaining amount up to the 50% deposit will be due for payment. The remaining 50% of the charter fee, Advance Provisioning Allowance, delivery/redelivery fees, VAT taxes, and any other agreed charges must be paid four weeks prior to the commencement of the charter.
Your Reservation is contingent upon the Yacht Owner's approval of the charter. If the Reservation for the specified yacht cannot be fulfilled, we will cancel your reservation and the authorised amount will be released from your card. However, your assigned Charter Consultant can work closely with you to find another yacht that could suit your needs.
The completion of the booking process typically takes up to seven business days but this may vary. The first step for your reservation to advance is for the yacht owner to accept the Reservation request, which typically takes up to 48 hours. Your Charter Consultant will provide an initial confirmation that your reservation is okay to progress and will work with you to complete the booking process. If the Owner does not accept your Reservation request your authorization will be released, but you can work with your Charter Consultant to find different yacht options that fit your requirements.
In case a legally binding contract has not been agreed and executed within 21 calendar days from the date that you receive the confirmation email that your reservation request has been received by IYC, the authorised amount will be released.You have the option to reserve more than one yacht online; simply visit the yacht's page on IYC’s website and complete the reservation process for each yacht that you are interested in.
