Prestige Yachts

Shipyard History

Prestige Yachts was established in 1989 within the Jeanneau shipyard from a vision to create exceptional yachts for discerning owners. Over the years, it evolved into a standalone luxury motor yacht brand under the Beneteau Group, with a refined identity rooted in French nautical craftsmanship.

Its primary production site remains at Les Herbiers in Vendée, France, sitting on approximately 350,000 m² and employing over 1,000 skilled artisans, making it one of Europe’s largest yacht production facilities. The newer Monfalcone facility in Italy, spanning over 45,000 m², was added to accommodate larger models and to reflect the brand’s growing ambition and capacity. Both sites embody Prestige’s balance of heritage and industrial precision, and they welcome clients through programs such as the Prestige Exclusive Days, inviting visits behind the scenes of the shipyard’s savoir-faire.

Shipyard Specialty

Prestige specializes in marrying industrial-scale expertise with artisanal finesse. Hulls are crafted using vacuum infusion of fiberglass and resin, which enhances structural integrity while minimizing environmental impact. Artisans apply woodwork, leather upholstery, and precise finishing touches with care and dedication.

The shipyards are advanced in technology, yet craftsmanship remains central. From CAD design to 5-axis cutting tools, production is precise and efficient without compromising the soul of each yacht. Prestige was among the early adopters of pod propulsion systems, offering more spacious, quieter, and efficient yachting experiences early on.

Notable Deliveries and Models

Prestige’s evolution has been marked by a stream of defining yachts that expanded both capability and appeal. The Prestige 41 in 1989 initiated the legacy with its blend of style and seakeeping. The Prestige 36 launched the popular flybridge line in 2000, while the Prestige 60 in 2010 introduced larger yachts with Volvo Penta IPS technology and achieved significant international success.

In 2014 the Prestige 750 emerged from the Monfalcone yard and received design awards for layout and construction. The sportfly aesthetic followed with the Prestige 680S in 2016, and the X-Line models X60 and X70 shortly thereafter redefined onboard space in 2020.

Most recently, Prestige expanded into the multihull market with the M-Line, represented by the M7 and M8. These models showcase the brand’s vision for power catamarans, combining contemporary design with generous living volumes, stability, and efficiency. The M7 introduces a refined balance of performance and comfort, while the M8, as the flagship, emphasizes scale and livability in a distinctive multihull form. Together, they highlight Prestige’s ability to anticipate new lifestyles at sea and extend its range into a forward-looking segment.

Design Collaborations on Models and Projects

Prestige’s long partnership with Garroni Design has shaped its aesthetic identity for over 30 years. The studio crafts both exteriors and interiors, emphasizing fluid layouts, refined textures, and the brand’s design legacy.

For multihull models, Garroni has translated Prestige’s DNA into marine volumes and flow, particularly in the M-Line where he reimagines livability for powered catamarans.

Marc Lombard Yacht Design brings naval architecture expertise, particularly in multihull dynamics. He contributed hull and performance design for the M7, ensuring stability and efficiency without reliance on stabilizers. Together, Garroni Design and Lombard have created a new generation of Prestige yachts that combine artistry, technical sophistication, and enhanced comfort.

Since September 2025, IYC serves as the exclusive dealer for the Prestige M7 and M8 in Monaco and Greece, reinforcing their position in two of the Mediterranean’s most prominent yachting hubs.
