Introducing ASTREA: First Sanlorenzo 52 Steel NEO To Join IYC’s Yacht Management Fleet
IYC is excited to spotlight the imminent launch of the 170 '7 " (52m) ASTREA, the highly anticipated first hull in the brand new Sanlorenzo 52 Steel NEO series.
This flagship project marks an exciting development for the prestigious Italian shipyard and highlights IYC's continued strength and proven expertise in the new build sector.
Introduced in 2017, the Sanlorenzo 52 Steel series quickly became sought-after, with clients drawn to the timeless styling and clever use of space. With the debut of the revamped 52 Steel NEO, Sanlorenzo has refined the concept further, embracing clients' requests for seamless indoor-outdoor living, light-filled spaces, and enhanced lifestyle features and amenities.
The ASTREA project was sold in 2022 by Michel Chryssicopoulos, IYC Global Managing Partner, who also oversaw the building process on behalf of the client. Drawing upon his extensive experience managing new build projects, Michel Chryssicopoulos worked closely with Sanlorenzo and the project team to deliver a yacht tailored to the owner's vision.
Key design innovations on board ASTREA - and across the NEO series - include relocating the tender and toy garage to the bow, freeing up a much larger space for the vast beach club and wellness area aft, offering further access for relaxation and entertainment. Complementing this, is an impressive pool on the main deck paired with the generous open-plan dining on the upper deck, which can be opened on three sides for a complete alfresco experience.
The six luxurious and beautifully outfitted cabins, with interior styling by Tiziana Vercellesi, accommodate 12 guests. The custom and contemporary interiors throughout emphasise light-filled living spaces and embrace a Mediterranean lifestyle.
Scheduled for delivery in June 2025, ASTREA will join the IYC yacht management fleet.
