The 52.9m (173’5’’) M/Y Piuma is a beautiful new build project under construction at the Admiral shipyard and offers an exciting opportunity for a new owner looking to enjoy his yacht as early as summer 2018.
One of the few real hybrid yachts, M/Y PIUMA is Powered by 2 x 1,800hp MAN engines and 2 x 150 kW Electrical propulsion Motors. Under diesel power she cruises at 17 knots with a maximum speed of 18.5 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles. Piuma has a bow thruster and fin stabilizers designed to provide active roll reduction both in underway and ‘at anchor’ condition, making for a comfortable journey and time on board.
This 53m hybrid motor yacht also features a touch and go helipad and a large tender garage that will carry an 8m tender and other water toys to allow guests to maximise their time on the water. Built in aluminium the yacht is RINA class and LY2 compliant. Piuma accommodates 13 guests in 6 luxurious cabins. She features a master cabin on the main deck and a full beam VIP cabin and four guest cabins on the lower deck. She is a boat ideally designed for charter giving her a huge charter potential. Only 19 months away from delivery, her new owner will have the opportunity to choose the interior design or refit as per his preference.

A well-appointed master cabin, which includes a private study, is located in a prime spot on the main deck, and a full beam VIP and four additional cabins are located on the lower deck. For the moment the design has been the work of Admiral Studio, which includes a modern interior with a light palette, beautiful marbles and touches of colour in select furniture and fabrics, but the interior design can be defined or refitted by her new owner as per his preference.

Being half Danish and half Greek, Michel grew up in a multi-cultural household in Athens and is fluent in four languages. At the age of 18, he left for the United States to study International Business and Finance at Georgetown University in Washington DC. After graduating in 2000, he worked for three years at Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking unit in New York City. Having lived through life marking experiences in New York, Michel decided to quit the corporate world in 2003 and joined his father’s flourishing yacht brokerage firm in Athens. For more than a decade, he has been spearheading the yacht sales department, while actively growing the business and is today a managing partner in IYC. Michel also has strong experience with new building of custom yachts in the 30m to 60m category. He is happily married and has two beautiful young daughters.
A New York Native, Kevin Bonnie learned to sail at an early age. After graduating from college in New York, he went to sea on yachts and served as deck hand, chef, engineer, first mate and Captain. Kevin returned ashore as a yacht broker in the Pacific Northwest and used his training in both business and yachting to build a reputation for integrity, honesty and going the extra mile for his clients. After a two year interlude in the financial markets of Wall Street and London, Kevin moved to the south of France to pursue his dream of selling megayachts. After three years with Monaco Marine, learning the European market and studying French intensively, he launched and is now managing partner of IYC’s original European office. He enjoys working and living in Monte Carlo while taking care of all his global clientele.
