When it comes to luxury catamarans for sale and charter, few names carry as much weight as Sunreef Yachts. The Polish shipyard has evidently carved out its niche, blending unique design and luxury with ecological responsibility, with clients on their books such as tennis legend Rafael Nadal and Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso. As the exclusive UK commercial agent for Sunreef Yachts, IYC is proud to spotlight the shipyard's newest developments.
Thanks to IYC's collaboration, we offer clients the latest Sunreef models, including the recently launched Ultima model: the Ultima 111. In a move promising to go beyond the norm of catamaran design, the shipyard has partnered with the award-winning Phathom Studio design house for the project. This collaboration represents more than just an addition to their already impressive portfolio; it brings the yard's innovative philosophies to light.
"We are excited to be at the forefront of this new development in the Ultima line and look forward to introducing our clients to the innovative models and continuing our partnership with Sunreef as they offer these new and exciting designs," says Jamie Swaine, sales representative for Sunreef Yachts UK.
Here, we outline Sunreef's new partnership and details of the new flagship model:
With no 'in-house' style, the Netherlands-based Phathom Studio is recognized for its boundary-pushing designs and innovative frameworks to each drawing board. The design house approaches each project with a fresh perspective; such adaptability aligns with Sunreef's commitment to continually developing catamaran designs.
By combining the shipyard's expertise in building and engineering with Phathom's design experience, the result is a catamaran that not only meets but exceeds expectations. "This collaboration with Phathom Studio brings a unique take to an already innovative brand; the model perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and performance," adds Swaine.
This new flagship—Ultima 111—in Sunreef's Ultima line was revealed at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival. It embodies a sporty, dynamic style with inspiration drawn from the automotive world while remaining true to Sunreef's signature style. Nicolas Lapp, CTO and Co-Founder of Sunreef Yachts, notes in a recent press statement: "When you work with an outside company, you are often thinking outside the box, but the DNA of the Ultima is still in the design of the Ultima 111."
The 108'3" (33m) model is marked by strong, forward-facing diagonal shapes, resulting in a highly eye-catching profile. The high ceilings make the interior spaces expansive and comfortable, accommodating eight guests across the four cabins. The full-beam owner's suite benefits from a walk-out terrace with direct access to the deck.
Due to the unique cabin placement, the hulls are dedicated to the five crew members, providing the highest level of service onboard. Flawless service has been prioritized within the design details, with a well-designed flow enabling the crew to access all dining areas—both inside and alfresco—easily and efficiently.
Similar to other Sunreef models, space is a priority, and with the Ultima 111 boasting a 31'6" (9.6m) beam, this design feature continues throughout the accommodation and living areas. Converging the interior and exterior spaces, this model has a central staircase that connects all three levels, presenting a sense of openness. Guests can also access the bow area via a connecting corridor.
Meanwhile, further outside, there is ample space for entertaining and relaxing. The large upper deck features a forward-facing Jacuzzi for guests to enjoy relaxation with a view, and the opening side terraces and balconies further add to the outdoor areas. For watersports and lounging, the walkaround beach club presents various opportunities, including a full garage with tender and water toy storage.
Sunreef has long been paving the way forward for energy-efficient architecture. The Ultima line has been designed to reduce drag for enhanced performance and efficiency.
Sunreef boasts its patented and cutting-edge solar skin that integrates into the yacht's superstructure and custom-engineered battery banks for greener power onboard. The shipyard also utilizes ethically sourced finishing materials, showcasing how luxury and sustainability can coexist in the catamaran market. "We are proud to represent a brand that is consistently raising the bar for our clients in the yachting industry," concludes Swaine.
