181‘/55.2M M/Y GECO LAUNCHED BY ADMIRAL

The 181’ (55.2m) motor yacht GECO hit the water today in Marina di Carrara at Admiral – The Italian Sea Group’s shipyard. The beautifully organized event at the impressive yard was the perfect setting for the 200 guests who gathered to witness the launch of this fully custom-built yacht. Her sleek profile, combined with the metallic pearl and silver color, casts a stunning shadow on the water.

The entire owner’s team, represented by Michel Chryssicopoulos of IYC, attended the launch ceremony, with the shipyard organizing digital streaming for those who were unable to be there in person due to global travel restrictions. “It gives us great satisfaction to see the huge amount of hard work materialize in such a beautiful custom-built yacht. Despite the difficulties of these unprecedented times, the team and the shipyard worked seamlessly together to achieve this stunning result,” commented Michel.

“The whole Admiral team have demonstrated a very high level of professionalism, commitment and self-sacrifice in order to deliver GECO on time – an exceptional yacht”, says the GECO’s new owner.

Admiral – part of the The Italian Sea Group is known for its commitment to delivering each owner’s dream yacht “The launch of this yacht represents not only the result of the work and the constant sacrifice of the team involved in her construction, but also the realization of all the founding values of our Company, from the refinement of details to the extraordinary care in achieving increasingly ambitious quality standards” commented Giovanni Costantino Admiral CEO.

GECO’s highlights include six spacious cabins – with full-beam Master and VIP staterooms – a large jacuzzi pool, and numerous spacious outdoor lounge areas to enjoy al fresco living. Following the owner’s instructions, the shipyard’s design of the yacht encourages a very social and relaxed environment. Her Touch and Go helipad can be transformed into a “Happy Hour Buddha Bar” lounge area with an outdoor cinema where guests can enjoy a drink, gaze at the stars or watch their favorite movie.

Built with charter guests in mind, GECO is equipped with the latest technologies and high-end equipment that will make her a hugely popular vessel. For those on board looking for heart-racing activities during the day, GECO has an abundance of water toys including three jet skis, an inflatable jet ski dock, a waterslide, a climbing wall, clear-bottomed kayaks, and the latest in snorkeling and diving gear. GECO will be joining the IYC Charter Fleet based out of Greece.

Guests will be served by a dedicated crew of 13. “We are looking forward to welcoming GECO’s first guests on board this summer,” commented Captain George Ioannou. “She is the newest and one of the finest charter yachts currently available and the perfect vessel to explore the East Med. The GECO crew and I aim to establish her as a ‘standout’ charter yacht and create an exceptional experience for anyone who steps on board. ”

IYC would also like to thank surveyor Matthew Sainz and his team for his commitment and hard work during the entire construction process.
