Last week were held the World Superyacht Awards by the yachting media authority BOAT International, in Istanbul, on Friday 19 May. Acala, the latest explorer yacht delivered by our partner Cantiere delle Marche, was one of the stars of this sumptuous evening by winning the Displacement Motor Yachts 499GT and below, 40m to 44.9m category.

At 140'9" (42.9m) in length, Acala is the epitome of an ocean-going explorer yacht, exuding strength, comfort, and elegance. BOAT International's judges were unanimous, as per the magazine's report: "The judges admired Acala’s rugged good looks, her well-sized engines that provide a top speed of 15.3 knots and a 7,506-nautical- mile range at 10 knots, excellent crew areas, a superb diving store and her elegant and modern interior. Their summary was that this is a true explorer yacht, well-conceived and built, that perfectly met all of her owner’s needs. As such, she is an extremely deserving winner.”
