IYC is pleased to begin 2018 with the good news of the sale of 47.24m (155’) M/Y Abbracci, a semi-displacement design built by Christensen in 1997. Abbracci was sold with IYC brokers Barbara Stork Landeweer and Michael Rafferty representing the buyer in conjunction with Jim McConville at Allied Marine.
A beautiful example of American superyacht construction Abbracci underwent a major 16-month refit in 2012 that saw her transformed with a comprehensive work list that included an enlarged aft deck and spacious boat deck saloon, and a full mechanical and engine service.
Her interior, designed by Glade Johnson, was also fully modernised and features light cherry wood with lacquering, grey and cream furnishings and beautiful detailing. Large windows on every deck ensure that all spaces are light-filled and airy. Abbracci features five guest cabins with accommodation for 10, and five crew cabins for 10 crew. The master stateroom is a stand out space, making use of the large beam to create an impressive cabin that includes the large king bed and private ensuite with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The other four guest cabins are located off the private guest lobby on the lower deck, with two queens forward and two aft. An appealing feature is the ability to connect the two aft cabins to create a large VIP suite with two queen beds. Aft of the owner’s cabin is a bonus cabin with oversized berth that is ideally suited to a nanny, children or staff.
A large foyer welcomes guests on board the yacht, connecting to the main saloon which is an intimate and elegant space, with arm chairs and lounge seating, that connects out to the aft deck. The bridge deck lounge serves as the main guest living space and boasts incredible views, generous seating, an entertainment system and a games table, making it an ideal space for gatherings, hosting and relaxing. This lounge connects to the aft bridge deck, which is covered by the above sun deck for shade from the elements, and includes coffee tables and seating. Moving upwards, the huge sun deck is an impressive space that includes a four-person sun bed, BBQ, settee and table to port, and an aft tender deck that is strong enough for helicopter landing. Other exterior spaces include the Portugese bridge and seating on the forward deck.
Cruising at 16 knots with a maximum speed of 17 knots, with a range of 3500nm at 10 knots Abbracci is powered by twin Deutz 604BV12 2200HP engines and carries Naiad zero speed stabilisers for added comfort.
IYC is proud to have played a role in the sale of this beautiful Christensen yacht and wishes Abbracci’s new owner many happy years of cruising.
