Stefanos Macrymichalos, CEO of IYC, believes there is a lot of unity between the worlds of art and superyachts and the passions behind both. “Similar to a piece of art, no two yachts are the same and yacht owners, like artists, put in their yacht their passion, love and pride, making each vessel unique,” he says. “Like art, they capture emotions, and moments in time from all who experience life on board.”
Many yachts within the IYC sales and charter fleets use art to help define the stunning interior spaces that help to make a charter holiday so memorable for guests. “The purpose of art is washing the daily dust of life of our souls,” said Pablo Picasso, with this quote perfectly demonstrating why art plays such an important role on superyachts, whose purpose is often so similar. Art can inspire, evoke emotions and enhance experiences, which are just some reasons why IYC values its place on yachts so highly.
