Stefanos Makrymichalos obtained a bachelor’s degree in International Business, and a Marketing degree from Otterbein University, Ohio. Shortly after his graduation, he moved to London where he resided for four years, and started his career in marine insurance, specializing in the risk management and claims management of mega yachts.
In 2005 he co-founded one of the leading yachting companies in the East Mediterranean and in 2015 he was appointed CEO of IYC, following the company’s acquisition. Under his tenure the company grew into an industry leader, becoming the largest operator of charter yachts worldwide and achieving consistent ranking among the top tier of yacht sales globally. Stefanos successfully restructured the firm on all levels and expanded IYC’s group and operations globally.
Stefanos is currently living in Fort Lauderdale, USA. He is a partner, and Executive Chairman of IYC, leading the implementation of IYC’s strategic vision with focus on the Company’s brand and technology development.
