Also known as Shipwreck Beach, due to the stunning wreck that sits upon the white sands, this bay has been suggested to be the most spectacular in the world. Surrounded by white limestone cliffs that plunge into sparkling turquoise water, the bay is only accessible by boat making it a perfect stop on your charter cruise.
Mljet, Croatia
Set in one of Croatia’s national parks, the green landscape of Mljet is a seductive contrast to the rocky Croatian coastline. Legend has it that the beauty of Mljet captivated Odysseus for seven years, and if the beauty doesn’t capture you then the local red wine and fresh goats cheese are sure to. The truly remote “Rabbit Island” is located 105 miles off mainland Italy, making it the perfect escape from the bustle of the mainland. Sailors who venture out to the stunning island will be rewarded with quiet and beautiful beaches.
The island is one of the last laying places for the endangered loggerhead turtle, and the surrounding waters are home to manta rays, dolphins and humpback whales. A trip to this island could be a very special experience!
Mud baths at Scala dei Turchi, Sicily
At Scala dei Turchi, with its name literally meaning “the Turkish Steps”, the ridged limestone cliffs that surround the sparkling emerald waters are an impressive sight.
