As part of the Damen Group alonside the yacht brand Amels, Damen Yachting offers a diverse, high-quality range of explorer and support yachts, including the Support Yacht and SeaXplorer series. The company has received recognition and praise in the yachting industry for its complete range of commercial and exploration vessels, from the first 51m Support Yacht Oberon to the first 62m SeaXplorer Anawa. Damen Yachting is proud to be a leading provider of luxury explorer and support yachts worldwide.
Shipyard Specialty
The Damen Group saw the potential to extend the Amels brand by introducing the new range of Explorer and Support Yachts. They draw upon their extensive experience in commercial ships and supply vessel construction to create semi-customisable models specifically designed for luxury trips, comfortable living, and unparalleled safety.
The range is available in two hull configurations (semi-displacement and full-displacement) and offers numerous deck and layout arrangements. Customers can modify the models to meet their individual use requirements, such as with a helipad, submarine garage and crane lift capacity.
Notable deliveries and models
Damen Yachting has successfully established themselves in the luxury yachting market with the introduction of their Support Yacht and SeaXplorer series, featuring four models from. In 2009, the first Oberon Support Yacht was delivered, with the most recents being the 2023 support yachts Bad Company Support and Abeona. The SeaXplorer range has increased with the launches of the 58m pink Shadow in 2023. This model range is flexible and customisable, making them available for a variety of sizes from 58m to 105m.
Design collaborations on models and projects
Damen Yachting and Azure Yacht Design are responsible for the naval architecture and exterior style of the SeaXplorer range. Customisation is available for owners, allowing them to customise interiors and request external modifications. For example, the 75m Custom Hybrid SeaXplorer set for delivery in 2024 underwent external design changes by Michael Leach Design resulting in a distinct look for the SeaXplorer 77. The Damen Support Yacht range is fully developed by Damen Yachting's in-house team.
