Few shipyards combine commercial, military, and yacht-building experience in the way Inace Yachts does, bringing more than 55 years of Brazilian shipbuilding heritage into a new generation of custom exporer yachts superyachts. The shipyard began with commercial, fishing, offshore, and military vessels before developing its luxury yacht division, applying the same technical discipline to long-range steel and aluminum motor yachts.
What sets Inace apart is its focus on durability, autonomy, and practical engineering. Its commercial and military background informs the way each yacht is built, with strong hull structures, robust systems, and layouts created for extended use at sea. The new-generation fleet builds on this foundation, shaped by a company culture centered on safety, flexibility, environmental responsibility, and respect for each client.
The yard’s facilities in Fortaleza can support multiple projects at the same time, while its active pipeline reflects a clear ambition for international growth. Owners benefit from a combination of shipyard tradition, engineering capability, and customization flexibility, supported by a production approach that prioritizes reliability, long-range performance, and practical usability at sea.

Inace Yachts
An Overview of the Shipyard's History, Specialty, Iconic Builds, and Partnerships
Inace Yachts
Shipyard History
Inace Yachts was founded in 1968 by Gil Bezerra in Fortaleza, Brazil. What began as a private shipyard focused on fishing, commercial, military, and offshore vessels grew into one of South America’s most established shipbuilding operations. The company remains under family ownership and is now guided by the second and third generations of management, preserving a direct connection between its founding principles and its current vision for growth.
The shipyard’s wider maritime background is central to its identity. Inace has built more than 600 vessels across several categories, including patrol craft, workboats, offshore units, fishing vessels, and motor yachts. This gives the brand a practical engineering foundation, shaped by vessels that need to perform reliably in demanding conditions. For yacht owners, that heritage translates into confidence, particularly for long-range cruising and remote itineraries.
After a period from 2010 to 2019 focused mainly on commercial shipbuilding, Inace restarted development of its explorer yacht line. The first new-generation 90-foot model was delivered in 2022, followed by further deliveries and a growing order pipeline. This current phase builds on the yard’s stated vision to be recognized internationally for excellence in marine solutions, now supported by IYC’s global representation and stronger international visibility.
Shipyard Specialty
Inace specializes in steel and aluminum yachts built for long-range autonomy, durability, and owner customization. The new-generation yachts use steel hulls and aluminum superstructures, a combination chosen for strength, safety, and efficient weight distribution. These are yachts designed for serious cruising, with large exterior deck areas for tenders, water toys, and expedition equipment, as well as flexible interiors that can include offices, gyms, beach clubs, and wellness spaces.
The shipyard’s mission is to supply the market with shipbuilding solutions built around safety, flexibility, environmental responsibility, employee commitment, reliability, and client respect. That approach is visible in the way Inace structures each project. Owners are not simply selecting a model. They are working with a shipyard that values adaptability, long-term performance, and dependable execution from concept to delivery.
Inace’s Fortaleza facility gives the brand significant production depth. The site covers 180,000 square meters, including 40,000 square meters of covered area, with CNC cutting, block fabrication, construction sheds, finishing areas, paint facilities, wood workshops, and mechanical shops. A 1,800t ship lift, 9km of internal rails, and berthing for yachts with drafts up to 16’5” (5m) support complex builds and large refit projects.
Inace also brings strong in-house engineering capacity to each project. The team includes 40 engineers across naval, marine, mechanical, industrial, operations, and electrical disciplines. The yard develops basic and detailed design using advanced technical platforms, giving clients a controlled build environment supported by commercial-grade engineering and the flexibility expected in luxury yacht construction.
Notable Deliveries And Models
Inace’s historic yacht portfolio gives the new generation a credible foundation. Far Far Away, delivered at 120’1” (36.6m), is one of the yard’s best-known examples, with ABS classification and the robust profile expected of a true long-range yacht. Batai, at 126’ (38m), also demonstrates the yard’s ability to build substantial oceangoing yachts with practical deck arrangements and proven seakeeping.
Other delivered yachts show the breadth of the shipyard’s experience. Sudami and Catalonian Spirit, both 111’7” (34m), reflect Inace’s long-standing yacht-building DNA, while Beyond at 98’5” (30m) and Boundless at 98’5” (30m) show how the yard has approached smaller long-range platforms. Blue Dream, at 78’9” (24m), and Zembra, at 89’11” (27.4m), further reinforce the brand’s position in compact long-range yacht construction.
The current focus of the shipyard centers around the new-generation ISY Explora and ISY Aventura ranges, including the 90, 106, 125, 131, 145, and 150 models, with the 90 and 106 already delivered as part of the shipyard’s renewed production phase. Inace is also progressing a wider pipeline, including projects from 105’ (32m) to 154’2” (47m), alongside newly signed custom builds expected to deliver between 2028 and 2029.
Design Collaborations On Models And Projects
Inace’s current direction is strengthened by collaborations with established international yacht design and naval architecture partners. These relationships allow the shipyard to pair its industrial strength with a more refined design language, supporting yachts that are capable, efficient, and visually aligned with the expectations of today’s owners.
The design approach across the new-generation models places equal emphasis on function and lifestyle. Large exterior decks are planned for tenders, water toys, and expedition equipment, while interior layouts can be tailored around owner priorities such as wellness, workspaces, family use, or extended cruising comfort. This flexibility is particularly important for owners seeking a yacht that supports a highly specific way of traveling.
