The beautiful islands of the Bahamas hold a special place in the hearts of the superyacht community, as an overall favourite of many owners, captains, crew and charter guests. The terrible damage caused to parts of this popular cruising ground by Hurricane Dorian – particularly to the Abaco Island and Grand Bahama Island – in September 2019 was viewed world-over with sadness and dismay.
As a way of providing ongoing financial support beyond the initial disaster relief efforts, IYC is pleased to announce a fundraising campaign led by the IYC Charter Management Department. This campaign appeals to owners to donate 1% of their charter revenue, between 23 September and 5 January 2020, with IYC matching up to 1% of their charter management fee. All proceeds will go to the IYC Hurricane Relief Fund - an initiative that ensures that the worst affected areas of Bahamas continue to receive help in the difficult months ahead. The yachts below, along with IYC, are contributing a portion of their charter proceeds to YachtAid Global.
