Don’t miss the Palm Beach International Boat Show this year!

23rd March 2022

The Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS) returns from March 24-27, 2022. The last three years of the event have seen a record amount of attendees – with over one million people visiting the show in 2021. One of the top five boat shows in the US, it continues to flourish as a hotspot for sales in South Florida.

One of the unique aspects of this show is the variety of exhibitors and attendees. The 2021 show featured over $1.2 billion worth of boats, yachts and maritime accessories and attracted everyone from brand new owners looking to purchase their first vessel, to seasoned yacht owners taking a step into a larger size category. Boat shows are a hugely successful way to showcase a vessel to potential buyers, as individuals can experience the vessel first-hand, meet the crew and have in-depth conversations with our expert brokers.

The presence of the Superyacht Village at Palm Beach International Boat Show ensures that there is a high caliber of potential buyers at the show each year. This dedicated space showcases quality vessels over 100ft and is home to the most premium yachts in the show. Last year, one of the most notable yachts on display was 72.6m / 238'2 Quantum of Solace, built by Turquoise Yachts in 2012. The Palm Beach Boat Show was also the chosen location for the global debut of the new Princess X95 and the North American debut of Princess F45 from Princess Yachts.

PBIBS has continued to report solid growth in attendees since its inception, and last year had over 1,000 boat brands as exhibitors. In the industry, Palm Beach is known for introducing leading boat builders and manufacturers to qualified audiences and there has been a notable increase in luxury shipyards attending, such as Amels, Baglietto and Feadship.

South Florida is the undisputed epicenter of yachting in the United States and the Palm Beach International Boat Show brings together the leading companies in the region to showcase the best the industry has to offer.

The IYC experience at Palm Beach International Boat Show

IYC is one of the largest brokerage houses at the show and each year we hand-select the finest quality yachts to display. By placing your yacht with IYC, you are tapping into a huge network of interested buyers who are eager to make an acquisition at the show. As our brokers have personal relationships with each of their clients, they will invite individuals with a genuine interest in making an offer – focusing on the quality, rather than the quantity of viewings for your yacht.

Each year, IYC grows its global sales team and has consistently outperformed its competitors in terms of sales and the size of yachts in its fleet. With a total value of $1.8+ billion in sales since its inception in 2015, IYC has brokered some of the top deals in the industry and represents the seller in 63 per cent of the transactions that it closes.

In 2021, IYC successfully sold 90 yachts with a combined value of over $625 million. The breadth of the IYC brokerage team covers all size categories of vessels but has most notably excelled in the 40-meter to 60-meter size segment – where we achieved a 15 per cent market share of all motor yachts sold in this category last year.

The expert brokerage team is combined with a strong international marketing presence, which ensures that each yacht listed for sale with IYC is carefully advertised to a global audience. IYC has a dedicated stand this year that will form a central part of the Superyacht Village.
