Meet your private charter yacht at the West Wind Marina in Newport. Enjoy a lunch prepared by private chefs as you cruise to the small island of Cuttyhunk. In the morning we head to the area of Martha’s Vineyard. Have a delicious lunch on board then head ashore. With plenty to see and do you might hire a car to explore the vineyards or the exclusive village of Edgartown. If you prefer to relax on the beach, Martha’s Vineyard has many options for soaking up the sun. Head down to the American Legion Memorial Bridge to see where the movie Jaws was filmed.
Although tiny, the isolated island of Nantucket deserves at least two days. The high-end boutiques and fine restaurants are nestled among cobblestone streets and manicured greenery. If you are planning any meals ashore, this is the place to do it.
On your second day in Nantucket, take a trip ashore to see some of the histories of the region. The Whaling Museum recounts the island's history, and the historic harbours are filled with beautiful cottages, and world-class boutiques and dining.
Heading to the most popular destination of Cape Cod, on day five we cruise to Provincetown. As the oldest art colony in the US, the many galleries and studios reflect the inspiration that artists travel to draw from the dunes and magnificent light of the area.
With a history of commercial fishing and private charter yachting, Marbleland is rich in tradition and culture. The pristine gardens of the local houses are known for their extravagant flower boxes, and the many parks and gardens make this stop a visual treat!
In downtown Boston, we visit Rowe’s Wharf at the head of the Boston Harbour. In the summer the marina is lined with yachts, and there is no end of things to do and see. During the summer a floating stage hosts free concerts, and a shopping trip to Newbury Street is recommended.
As you have breakfast on your final day, prepare to say so long to new friends and the shores of New England. However, this will not be goodbye – with so many harbours, bustling towns, and stretches of coastline, the many options will see you keen to return.
