Having grown up in Cyprus, George later spent significant time in the UK. He  gained his degree in Finance, Accounting and Management at Nottingham University and then moved on to work for Deloitte in London, specialising in audit and advisory roles for the travel, hospitality, and leisure sectors. During his time at Deloitte, George obtained the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) chartered accountancy qualification, becoming a member of the Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA). After leaving Deloitte he worked as Financial Controller for an exclusive Mayfair casino in London before relocating back to Cyprus where he will now be based in his role at IYC.
