In an effort to address environmental challenges and promote sustainability, IYC is proud to announce the launch of its core Green team, "IYC: Make It Green". This initiative aims to reduce the company's carbon footprint, minimize waste, and conserve resources and energy.
As businesses play a crucial role in environmental stewardship, IYC recognizes the importance of adopting sustainable practices. By implementing the "IYC: Make It Green" program, the company is taking proactive steps towards a greener future.
The Green team will focus on several key actions to achieve its sustainability goals. These actions include waste reduction in company offices, the establishment of Green Guidelines for internal staff as well as captains and crew, prioritizing suppliers and partners who share a commitment to sustainability, active participation in local environmental events, and the organization of worldwide initiatives such as beach cleans.
To kickstart this endeavor, IYC Monaco has signed the 'National Energy Transition Pact' with the Monaco Government. This partnership solidifies the company's dedication to sustainable practices and outlines specific commitments, including waste reduction in office spaces, the implementation of Green Guidelines, and active involvement in local environmental events.
Raphael Sauleau, CEO of IYC commented, "It is our responsibility to lead by example and prioritize sustainability. By reducing our carbon footprint and conserving resources, we are not only protecting the environment but also ensuring a better future for generations to come."
The "IYC: Make It Green" initiative will be rolled out across all 15 IYC offices globally, with volunteers and local ambassadors joining in the company's efforts. "We see action today with impact on the future," added Sauleau. "We recognize the value in long-term commitments to leaving a better world for future generations. By working together, we can make a significant difference in preserving our planet."
