Over the course of the one-day seminar a variety of papers and discussions will be presented to attendees, complemented by plenty of opportunities for valuable networking. Topics of discussion include: “Company footprint & Yacht Management” by Sean Cassidy, COO and Yachting Management Director US; “Future of Communications for Mega Yachts”, by Ken Reisch and Matthew Gerken of E3 Systems; and “Cyber Security” by Justin Iserhardt of Lloyds Register; “Luxurious Amphibious Boats” by Steve Hupper of IGUANA; and “Insurance Emergency Response & Case Studies involving Norwegian Hull Club” by Geir Skoglund of Norwegian Hull Club. The forum will be followed by an evening cocktail event hosted at Burlock Coast Seafare & Spirits.
IYC will also be presenting detailed information on its BLUE yacht management application, which launched to much acclaim in late 2016 and has seen huge growth and uptake ever since. The development of this software was undertaken with the goal of helping to simplify yacht management processes for captains and crew. The app functions by providing seamless customisation interactions between client’s vessels and IYC’s global network, assisting with the process of paperwork, vessel and crew documentation, compliance and more, all in a simple to use and straightforward interface.
As a global brokerage house with an extensive fleet, IYC greatly values the captains and crew it works with and their role in providing an exceptional superyacht experience to clients. As such the IYC team is always looking for ways and tools to assist in making the day to day operations of captains and crew as seamless and easy as possible, with this Seminar an important part of this overall goal.
