Hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, Emma-Rae began her sea going career as a stewardess in 2016. She quickly established a firm passion for the luxury maritime industry and rose through the ranks to Chief Stewardess spending most of her time sailing the Western and Eastern Mediterranean. In 2019, she completed her first transatlantic crossing and since then, she completed two more transatlantic crossings as well as sailing the waters of the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Eastern coast of the United States.
In 2021, Emma-Rae entered the land based side of the luxury maritime industry and started out in Crew Recruitment establishing a rapport with Crew, Captain’s and Owner’s alike. At the beginning of 2023 she landed the opportunity to evolve her maritime career and join the IYC family in the Yacht Management department as Crew Manager of the US fleet. She brings with her an exceptional eye for detail, years of industry experience and a warm open nature. In her spare time, you will find Emma-Rae in the water scuba diving, out in the country riding her horse or curled up with a good book.
