A native from Barcelona, Maria spent half of her life living abroad, mainly in the UK, Belgium and Australia working as an accountant, given her a well-rounded perspective on international accounting.
Maria also spent years working as a Purser on cruise ships and megayachts, giving her clear insight into the yachting world. Following her time at sea, she came back to land-based roles and obtained a diploma in superyacht management in 2017, a diploma in superyacht project management refit and new building in 2019 by the University of Portsmouth and crew management by Lloyd´s Maritime Academy in 2021. She also took courses such as the Maritime Internal Auditor course offered by Warsash Maritime Academy, Southampton. She also holds an accounting degree issued by the UNED University in Barcelona.
Whenever she has the time, Maria likes to spend it sailing around the Mediterranean.
