MIMER, a serious transatlantic expedition new build, is an exceptional addition to IYC’s global sales fleet. At 197’ (60m) in length, the versatile explorer yacht is an Ice Class (ICE-1C) home from home with large panoramic windows, hybrid diesel electric propulsion and silent cruising.
Large exterior deck spaces for storing equipment and tenders are matched by a generous interior volume, including two significant tender garages. Key features include a multi-purpose beach club with sauna and gym on the main deck which converts into a helipad deck. A range of 6000 nautical miles provides autonomy at sea, while a Zen interior conceived in a Scandinavian chic design completes the package.
Available to build in two different configurations depending on the owner’s requirements, MIMER presents a rare fully custom prospect for an owner looking to travel to the ends of the Earth. For the “world traveler”, a substantial collection of toys and equipment includes amphibious craft, beach buggy, expedition RIBs, landing craft, electric tender, submarine, jet skis and quads, all stored in the tender garage and aft decks. For the “adventure explorer” the main deck aft accommodates an even larger collection of toys, including a hovercraft, snowmobiles and a Range Rover.
MIMER accommodates 12 guests in six cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite with office, private lounge, en suite bathroom with full-sized bath tub and private exterior terrace with Jacuzzi on the forward deck.
In the main salon and guest areas, large glass openings create a seamless inside out experience to view the stunning surroundings and natural wildlife. An abundance of al fresco dining options further strengthens the connection with the outdoors. The sun deck is a sunbathers paradise with several oversized beds, shaded parasols, coffee table and chairs and a plunge pool. A second plunge pool sits on the main deck aft.
Soft and ethereal in its design, the interior contains subtle hues mixed with organic and light materials to complement the reflections of natural light. Equipped with the latest in sustainable technology, this 1600 GT explorer is an exciting opportunity to build a go-anywhere vessel and bring the world within reach.

Born in Ohio and spending most of his summers on the lakes on the Great Lakes, Scott knew what his passion was from an early age. He wanted to be able to enjoy the outdoors on boats. At the age of 19 he decided to pick up his things and head to Fort Lauderdale FL. While he started out painting boats for Sonic Marine in Hollywood Florida with his uncle, he then moved on into selling small runabout boats; this helped him to become familiar with the industry of brokering. In 2008 he was offered a position with WME Yachts, a smaller operation based out of Ft. Lauderdale and New York. He saw this as an opportunity to start brokering larger boats and get into the luxury yachts industry. He sold his first large yacht that very year and built up a large listing portfolio of over 20 yachts over 80ft within a year and half. In 2009 he was promoted to VP of Luxury Sales and managed several brokers under him. The success continued up until 2013 when WME was bought out. From there he joined IYC and has continued his career in the right direction bringing in high profile listings and high profile sales.
