Shipyard History
Forming part of the Ferretti Group, Custom Line, alongside Riva, CRN and Pershing, is known for producing composite Navetta and Flybridge motor yachts. The brand was founded in 1996 with the aim of creating a larger composite yacht range for the Ferretti Group, and to give more freedom to clients to design their yacht interior. Since its creation, the Custom Line shipyard has developed 20 models. Thanks to their high-quality construction, generous volumes and cleverly designed spaces, Custom Line builds are a popular choice on the brokerage market.
Shipyard Specialty
Building exclusively in composite, Custom Line’s facilities located in Ancona and Forli deliver around 15 units per year. Able to build semi-custom yachts from 28m to 43m, the yard produces planing, semi and full-displacement luxury motor yachts. Their semi-custom segment production is proven by its success to satisfy an international clientele looking for stylish and spacious motor yachts.
Notable deliveries and models
In the early age of the Custom Line shipyard, a few yacht models were launched in the Navetta and Flybridge ranges. The Navetta 26, 30 and 33 proved popular along with the Flybridge range, the Custom Line 94, 97 and 112. Both ranges were predominantly sold between 2000 and 2010. During the 2010 era, new yacht models were introduced to the superyacht market such as the Navetta 28, Navetta 33 Crescendo and Custom Line 100, 108 and 124 in the Flybridge yacht range.
Custom Line’s large range is tailored to appeal to a wide array of international clients. The current Custom Line yacht range consists of seven models. The most recent semi-custom models launched by Custom Line stretch from 28m to 42m in composite construction: CL106 Y, CL120 Erolia and the first unit of the CL140 tri-deck. In the Navetta range: N30 Mrs G, N33 Haiami, N37 Think Bigger and N42 Allure.
Design collaborations on models and projects
Since the Custom Line shipyard came into production, only two Italian design studios have been responsible for the Custom Line style identity. They are known as the Zuccon International Project and Francesco Paszkowski. The Zuccon International Project was involved in the Custom Line exterior and interior designs in the first generation of the Navetta and Flybridge yacht ranges. In more recent years, Custom Line appointed the prolific designer Francesco Paszkowski to create the current yard’s flybridge models. He has been responsible for the Custom Line 106, 120 and 140 models’ exterior and interior lines. The Italian yard recently introduced a new model, Custom Line Navetta 50, in collaboration with the yacht designer Filippo Salvetti. The first hull of Navetta 50 is due for completion in 2024.
