Custom Line was established in 1996 as the semi-custom superyacht brand of the Ferretti Group, created to bridge the gap between series production and bespoke yacht building. Based in Italy, the brand has steadily built a reputation for composite motor yachts that prioritize volume, comfort, and refined cruising over outright speed.
Production takes place primarily in Ancona and La Spezia, where Custom Line applies advanced composite construction techniques and a modular approach to layout planning. This allows owners meaningful personalization while maintaining proven engineering platforms. The result is consistent build quality, predictable delivery timelines, and yachts that perform efficiently across a wide range of cruising profiles.
The portfolio is anchored by two distinct families. The Navetta line focuses on displacement cruising with generous interior spaces and extended range, while the planing Custom Line models emphasize sleek profiles and higher cruising speeds. Together, they define a brand positioned for owners seeking balance, comfort, and understated Italian design without the complexity of a fully custom build.

Shipyard History
Forming part of the Ferretti Group, Custom Line, alongside Riva, CRN and Pershing, is known for producing composite Navetta and Flybridge motor yachts. The brand was founded in 1996 with the aim of creating a larger composite yacht range for the Ferretti Group, and to give more freedom to clients to design their yacht interior. Since its creation, the Custom Line shipyard has developed 20 models. Thanks to their high-quality construction, generous volumes and cleverly designed spaces, Custom Line builds are a popular choice on the brokerage market.
Shipyard Specialty
Building exclusively in composite, Custom Line’s facilities located in Ancona and Forli deliver around 15 units per year. Able to build semi-custom yachts from 28m to 43m, the yard produces planing, semi and full-displacement luxury motor yachts. Their semi-custom segment production is proven by its success to satisfy an international clientele looking for stylish and spacious motor yachts.
Notable deliveries and models
The early years of the Custom Line shipyard saw a series of launches across the Navetta and flybridge ranges. The Navetta 26, 30 and 33 appeared alongside flybridge models such as the Custom Line 94', 97' and 112'. The 2010s brought further additions to the superyacht market: the Navetta 28, the Navetta 33 Crescendo, the Navetta 37 and the Custom Line 100', 108' and 124' in the flybridge range.
Custom Line’s broad portfolio is tailored to appeal to a wide array of international clients. The range comprises the Saetta, Navetta and Aluminium Alloy lines. The Saetta line covers the Custom Line Saetta 106', Saetta 128' and Saetta 140'; the Navetta line spans the second-generation Navetta 30, Navetta 35, Navetta 38 and Navetta 42. The aluminum-built Custom Line 50 serves as the brand’s flagship and its first all-aluminum superyacht; her first hull, the 49.9m ASANTE, was launched in 2024. The remaining models are built in composite. The Navetta 38 stands out among them: her first hull, the 38.8m TELLI, took Outstanding Exterior Design for motor yachts 24m to 41.9m and Best Interior Design for motor yachts of 499GT and below at the 2025 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards, along with Best in Motor under 300GT at the 2025 International Superyacht Society Awards
Design collaborations on models and projects
Several designers and design studios have shaped Custom Line’s identity since the yard began production. Zuccon International Project designed the original flybridge range and worked on the Navetta 33 Crescendo, Navetta 33, Navetta 37 and Navetta 42. Francesco Paszkowski Design then took over the range, drawing the exteriors and, with Margherita Casprini, the interiors of the Custom Line 120', 106' and 140', the latter two later renamed Saetta 106' and Saetta 140'. Filippo Salvetti drew the exteriors of the second-generation Navetta 30, the Navetta 35, the Navetta 38 and the all-aluminum Custom Line 50, with ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel designing the interiors of all four. SY Design, founded by Matteo Sassone and Veronica Yien, styled the exterior of the tri-deck Saetta 128', its first project for the Ferretti Group, with interiors by ACPV ARCHITECTS. Across the fleet, Custom Line Atelier, the in-house team of architects, defines the spaces, style and customization of each yacht.
