Founded in 1963, Moonen Yachts is a prestigious Dutch shipyard renowned for crafting bespoke luxury yachts. Located in 's-Hertogenbosch, the shipyard originally focused on smaller commercial and recreational vessels but quickly transitioned to the high-end yachting market. By the 1980s, Moonen had established itself as a leader in building high-quality, semi-custom and custom yachts ranging from 20 to 50 meters.
Moonen's commitment to Dutch craftsmanship, innovative engineering, and timeless design has earned it a reputation for producing "pocket superyachts" — compact vessels that deliver the sophistication and performance of larger yachts. The shipyard has collaborated with renowned naval architects and designers like René van der Velden and Vripack to produce iconic models like the Moonen Martinique series.
In the late 2010s, the shipyard underwent a transformation with new ownership and a renewed emphasis on sustainable and efficient yacht designs. Today, Moonen Yachts remains a symbol of excellence, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern innovation to cater to discerning yacht owners worldwide.

With a focus on upholding the finest tradition of Dutch yacht building, Moonen Yachts ensures an exclusive ownership experience by delivering only two yachts per year.
Notable deliveries and models
With over 40 years of expertise in yacht construction, Moonen has established a reputation for building top-quality long-range yachts with steel hulls and aluminium superstructures. Having delivered over 80 yachts worldwide, including renowned classics like the Moonen 84 and Moonen 97, as well as the modern Moonen Martinique, the yard's craftsmanship and attention to detail is widely recognized. Moonen Yachts' passion lies in delivering exceptional yachts, providing excellent support, and ensuring every detail is of the highest quality.
Design collaborations on models and projects
The shipyard has collaborated with esteemed naval architects and designers like René van der Velden and Vripack to craft iconic models such as the Moonen Martinique series and the Moonen 110' Mustique. So far, six Moonen 125' Martinique yachts have been delivered. Additionally, noteworthy projects include the one-of-a-kind Moonen 98' Bijoux, completed in 2016, and Sofia, the 137' explorer yacht delivered in 2013, which holds the title of the largest Moonen built to date.
