Ocean Alexander has built its name on quality engineering, international reach, and a consistent focus on performance at sea. Founded in 1977 by Alex Chueh, the shipyard began in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with a clear aim: to produce well-built yachts with long-range capability and solid handling. Over time, the company expanded its footprint while refining its design and production standards.
Today, production spans Taiwan and Florida, where skilled teams handle both assembly and support. That dual presence allows Ocean Alexander to serve U.S.-based owners while staying close to its manufacturing roots. In recent years, the brand has gained recognition for working closely with Evan K. Marshall, whose design input helped shape models that feel more open, livable, and refined at sea.
Each model series reflects a different approach to life on board. The Explorer line is aimed at long-range cruising, while the Revolution series focuses on space and contemporary layout. Others lean more traditional. But the intent stays consistent: offer yachts that are easy to own, engineered to last, and well supported long after delivery.

Design collaborations on models and projects
For many years, the Taiwanese shipyard Ocean Alexander has collaborated with a trusted group of designers to develop its successful yacht models. The builder has relied on Ed Monk for naval architecture and Evan K Marshall for exterior designs across most of its production models. Notably, the Ocean Alexander 122 model, delivered in five units, was designed by prolific yacht designer Gregory C. Marshall.
With the launch of the Puro line, Ocean Alexander embraced a fresh design vision and new collaboration. The new tri-deck motor yacht OA35 Puro was entirely developed by Italian companies, featuring naval architecture by NavalHEAD and exterior/interior styling by renowned designer Giorgio Cassetta.
