Turquoise Yachts has spent nearly five decades redefining Turkey's role in the global superyacht sector. Since delivering the nation's first world-class custom motor yacht in 1994, the yard has focused on combining artisanal Turkish craftsmanship with rigorous Northern European engineering standards. Every project is built from a clean sheet, ensuring owners receive a vessel that is truly an extension of their personal lifestyle.

The builder operates from two specialized facilities positioned on the Sea of Marmara, allowing for seamless transitions between heavy fabrication and high-end outfitting. This vertically integrated approach keeps almost all production stages in-house, from initial naval architecture to the final application of artisanal leather and exotic stonework. For the owner, this results in faster turnarounds and absolute quality control over every technical system.

Technical excellence is a hallmark of the brand, particularly its proprietary insulation methods that achieve near-silent cruising speeds. With a recent move into larger volume builds exceeding 262' (80m), Turquoise Yachts remains a top choice for experienced owners who value technical precision, Mediterranean elegance, and a collaborative journey from first sketch to final sea trials.

An Overview of the Shipyard's History, Specialty, Iconic Builds, and Partnerships

Turquoise Yachts

Shipyard History

Founded in 1997 in Pendik, Turkey, the shipyard quickly made a name for itself as a premier builder of luxury superyachts. Since its inception, Turquoise Yachts has been dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship, innovative design, and uncompromising quality.

The shipyard's story began with the vision of two prominent figures in the Turkish maritime industry, Mehmet Karabeyoglu and Proteksan Turquoise. Combining their expertise and passion for yachting, they set out to create a shipyard that would redefine the standards of luxury yacht construction.

In its early years, Turquoise Yachts gained recognition for its outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail. The shipyard's commitment to excellence attracted clients from around the world, leading to the construction of a series of remarkable yachts.

Over time, Turquoise Yachts expanded its capabilities and portfolio. They collaborated with renowned naval architects and design studios to create iconic vessels that pushed the boundaries of yacht design. From sleek, contemporary exteriors to lavish interiors, every Turquoise yacht reflected the epitome of elegance and sophistication.

Turquoise Yachts is celebrated as one of the world's leading superyacht builders. With a dedicated team of skilled craftsmen and a commitment to excellence, the shipyard remains at the forefront of the industry, creating extraordinary yachts that exceed expectations. The legacy of Turquoise Yachts is a testament to the enduring pursuit of perfection in the world of luxury yachting.

Notable deliveries and models

Turquoise Yachts builds custom superyachts, from classic sailing yachts to motor yachts approaching 90m.
TURQUOISE, the 55.4m superyacht that bears the shipyard's name, was launched in 2011 as a repeat order from the owner of the original 50m TURQUOISE, delivered in 1994 as Turkey's first superyacht.
Launched in 2012 as VICKY, the 72.6m QUANTUM OF SOLACE was the largest Turkish-branded yacht afloat at the time and won the Quality and Value Award at the World Superyacht Awards. Developed from the same platform, the 77m GO became the yard's largest yacht on delivery in 2018.
Further milestones include the 74m ROE and her 75m sister INFINITE JEST, and the 79m NYMPHEAS, the yard's largest build before ANGELIQUE. The 76m N2H is the yard's first hybrid superyacht and the first yacht to use MTU's integrated hybrid propulsion system. The 87.7m ANGELIQUE is Turquoise Yachts' flagship and, at the time of her delivery, the largest superyacht built in Turkey by length and volume. She is the second and largest of five custom yachts based on the shipyard's 80m platform.
In a more classic style, the yard has also delivered the 47.6m motor yacht ARRIVA, the 56m explorer BLUE II and two wooden Truly Classic 108 sailing yachts, EUGENIA VII and NAMUUN, showing its range across motor and sail, steel and wood.
The 81.3m RAFALE, also based on the shipyard's 80m platform, continues the hybrid propulsion work the yard began with N2H.

Design collaborations on models and projects

Turquoise Yachts works with leading naval architects and design studios, and these collaborations underpin its reputation for innovative design.
The yard has collaborated most extensively with H2 Yacht Design, an award-winning British studio known for both exterior and interior design. The partnership spans 12 yachts across 17 years, from QUANTUM OF SOLACE and GO to the flagship ANGELIQUE and RAFALE.
Other design partners include Dubois Naval Architects, which worked on both TURQUOISE and her 1994 predecessor, and Hoek Design. Hoek's steamship-style exterior for BLUE II won the Displacement Motor Yachts (500GT to 999GT) category at the World Superyacht Awards 2021 and Outstanding Exterior Motor Yacht Design 40m to 59.9m at the BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards. Hoek also designed the Truly Classic 108 sailing yachts EUGENIA VII and NAMUUN. Italian studio Vallicelli Yacht Design styled the exteriors of ROE and INFINITE JEST, with interiors by Ken Freivokh and Sinot respectively. Harrison Eidsgaard designed both the exterior and interior of NYMPHEAS, its first project with the yard, while Enrico Gobbi of Team For Design styled the exterior of N2H alongside an H2 Yacht Design interior. For sailing yachts, Dykstra Naval Architects redesigned the 51.3m RAINBOW II as a classic-style sloop.
