SANLORENZO AND FERRETTI GROUP JOINT VENTURE TO RESCUE PERINI NAVI

Following the announcement of Perini Navi’s bankruptcy on January 29 2021 Sanlorenzo and the Ferretti Group have shared plans to salvage the shipyard through the creation of a NewCo in a 50/50 joint venture. The companies plan to put forward a bid that details the acquisition of Perini Navi’s Italian brands, assets and all operations, as well as through a preliminary business branch lease.

140M LLOYD PROJECT SOLARIS IS READY FOR LAUNCH

The German shipyard Lloyd Werft is getting ready for one of the largest superyacht launches of 2021. Project Solaris covers eight decks and features a light grey hull and a white superstructure. She entered her outfitting phase in 2018 after several block sections were assembled in the yard’s floating dock.

75M SAILING YACHT ENIGMA SINKS NEAR LANGKAWI

The 75.13m sailing yacht Enigma (ex: Phocea) caught fire near Langkawi, Malaysia, and sank 24 hours later. Seven crew members were rescued.

2021 MONACO YACHT SHOW TO GO AHEAD

The Monaco Yacht Show organizers confirmed that the 2021 edition is set to take place on September 22 – 25. The show will be upgraded to include additional entrances and areas, an improved registration process and new event partners.
