Already a prized superyacht destination for those keen to enjoy its tropical offerings, The Bahamas now welcomes all fully vaccinated visitors to its shores without the need for a PCR test.
The Bahamas is a top yachting destination, drawing charter guests and owners alike with its warm, turquoise shallow waters and myriad islands to explore. Stretching over 500 miles and home to over a quarter of the world’s coral reefs, it serves up a snorkeler’s paradise alive with marine life. For divers keen to explore deeper, vibrant reefscapes crawling with an abundance of fish, crustaceans and coral never disappoint.
The colorful towns provide a friendly, marketplace vibe and bijoux boutiques for the ultimate in beach attire. But only 30 of the 700 islands inhabited, providing an abundance of empty coves, hidden bays and remote anchorages to claim as your own. White sandy beaches and innumerable tiny cays epitomize the barefoot luxury that this vibrant corner of the world oozes. Accompanied by strong trade winds that define Caribbean life, this pocket of the globe is ever popular with kite surfers, sailors and extreme sports enthusiasts.
Gastronomic feasts pulled straight from the sea linger around every corner, and The Bahamas’ remote location make its balmy waters an ideal playground for all ages. The whole family can spend the day safely ducking around on SeaBobs or gliding above manta ray on transparent paddle boards. At Shroud Cay, ride a waverunner up the natural formed lazy rivers before picnicking on roast conch. Witness baby turtles hatching on Conception Island, or strap in for a day of deep sea fishing at Bimini and Cat Cay, two of the best locations around.
A popular destination that celebrates the best of superyacht life, The Bahamas is now welcoming foreign tourists who are fully vaccinated to visit its tropical shores without the need to take a COVID-19 test. Effective from May 1st, those with proof of full vaccination and who have passed the minimum two week immunity time period can arrive by air or water to enjoy island living. In the interest of health and safety, social distancing and the wearing of face masks is still required. All travelers returning to the United States are still required to provide a negative rapid antigen test result to re-enter the US.
Few places on Earth offer a stress-free yacht charter with the same diverse mix of culture, food and nature than the unforgettable Bahamas.
