IYC Hosts 2024 Excellence Awards
On the eve of the 2024 Palm Beach International Boat Show, the highly anticipated annual IYC Excellence Awards took place at The Ben, an exclusive waterfront boutique Hotel in West Palm Beach. Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Palm Harbor Marina and the captivating Intracoastal Waterway, the venue provided an ideal setting to celebrate the company and its people.
This annual event serves as a platform to acknowledge the unwavering dedication, exemplary efforts, and remarkable skills demonstrated by IYC's global workforce. It commemorates their relentless commitment to sustaining and enhancing the company's ongoing triumphs. Moreover, the ceremony underscores the extraordinary accomplishments of individuals who have surpassed expectations, offering a cherished opportunity for collective reflection on the achievements of the preceding year.
IYC is one of the largest and most reputable global brands in yachting. In 2023, IYC sold more than $500 million worth of yachts, maintaining its position among the Top 3 companies in yacht sales globally. The broker awarded with the 2023 Sales Excellence award for achieving the highest sales for the company was Filip Jerolimov, Sales Consultant and Managing Partner of IYC’s Croatia office. Filip has been with IYC for 16 years and played a vital role in the company's growth and expansion.
The past 12 months also saw plenty of activity in the charter market, with IYC surpassing its record-breaking numbers and maintaining its position as the company with the largest charter fleet globally, now with over 150 yachts under charter management globally. IYC’s growing fleet of charter vessels can be found in all key cruising destinations, including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Bahamas and New England.
IYC Charter Consultant, Carrie Freeman, received the Charter Excellence Award in recognition of her continued dedicated to charter and sales clients alike in creating personalized charter itineraries and cruising recommendations. With IYC since 2014, Carrie contributes to the team and to her clients with a true passion for yachting and benefits from experiences working on yachts cruising the waters in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, New England and Alaska.
The awards ceremony saw three main awards presented, the last of which was the Employee Excellence Award. IYC places great importance on building the best team in the yachting industry, with experts across all fields based in key locations around the globe. The 2023 award went to Chief Legal Office, Iacovos Kouppas, in recoginition of his dedication to the teams worldwide and unwavering support.
Finally, a special award was bestowed to Mark Elliott, honoring a remarkable milestone: 25 years with IYC. A leading Yacht Sales & Charter Consultant, Mark's enduring tenure with IYC stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment and unparalleled expertise.
