IYC to present two superyachts at Antigua Charter Yacht Show 2019
The Antigua Charter Yacht Show is one of the final major events in the annual superyacht calendar, and IYC will be displaying two beautiful charter yachts – 164’ (49.99m) M/Y Hospitality and 87’ (26.52m) M/Y Akula – at the 2019 edition of the show. Hospitality has proven herself as a popular charter choice, while Akula is sure to turn heads as one of the newest additions to the IYC charter fleet.
Held 4 – 9 December 2019 in Antigua’s English Harbour, the Antigua Charter Yacht Show brings together a huge gathering of many of the world’s best charter yachts and leading charter professionals. The show is an unmissable chance to showcase all the best that the charter sector has to offer, and a busy schedule includes the highly-contested Chef’s Competition, yacht viewings, evening events and much more. A large number of IYC’s charter specialists who attend the show, helping to ensure that IYC is always has its finger on the pulse of all key charter trends.
Regarded as one of the finest Westports ever built, and fresh from a 2019 refit, Hospitality is a stylish and spacious yacht packed full of amenities and with a near exhaustive list of water toys and tenders. She is currently available for charter in the Caribbean and Bahamas, with possible options for New England. Over the years she has visited a wide range of destinations and her long range and proven history of adventure make her an ideal base for seeing the world. Welcoming up to 12 guests, Hospitality has a hugely appealing accommodation set up seven cabins plus a library that has the option of converting to a massage/spa suite. An elegant yet contemporary décor creates a warm and inviting environment throughout the yacht, while outdoor spaces are impressive and ensure plenty of space to enjoy on water living. Her passionate crew of 11, led by Captain Gavin Hurn, are dedicated to providing a world class charter experience for every guest.
Available for the charter for the first time since her 2018 launch, Akula will be available for charter this winter in the Caribbean. In as-new condition Akula has the bonus of being one of the only yachts of her size to be able to accommodate eight guests in four cabins. Her modern sporty design includes plenty of outdoor spaces and a luxurious light-filled interior. She is particularly suited to families – thanks to an abundance of family friendly features – and couples. Guest cabins include two doubles and two twins that are able to convert into doubles. Key spaces include the sleek and elegant main salon, and multi-purpose flybridge that will prove extremely popular with sun lovers. A huge collection of water toys and equipment, including a towed 23ft Boston Whaler tender, is perfect for enjoying the warm Caribbean waters.
