IYC is pleased to welcome Katy Carter to the team as a Charter Consultant out of the Fort Lauderdale office.
Washington, DC-born Katy is a highly experienced veteran Charter Consultant with 15 years’ experience. She has handled charters worth tens of millions of dollars, on boats ranging from small catamarans to 300’+ (90m+) yachts in addition to charters that involve multiple yachts cruising together in tandem. She has firsthand experience across the charter spectrum, including time spent on board as a Chief Stewardess.
Katy uses her extensive travel experience in the Caribbean, Bahamas, Europe, South America (where she also lived) and New England to ensure every client enjoys the very best of these areas. Her wide-ranging charter experience is supported by her expertise in the Americas. She is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese after studying at universities in Spain and Brazil, which means her main client base of American, Canadian and South American guests enjoy seamless communications and professionalism in their own language. Her extensive knowledge of the many stunning cruising grounds and associated regulations in the region further enhances the charter experience.
Over 90% of Katy’s clients have enjoyed such exceptional charters under Katy’s guidance that they keep returning year after year. Her clear communication, integrity and attention to detail are assets any charterer can expect when they select Katy.
