The 2019 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show had a positive buzz, with more than 30,000 visitors walking the show and many hailing it as the best show in recent years. Underlying themes of sustainability, the creation of unique experiences for clients, and forward-thinking designs, made this a show that both inspired and engaged its audience.
IYC had a large team on site, representing all key divisions, making the most of the unmissable opportunity to showcase all that IYC has to offer. Yachts in the IYC fleet commanded plenty of attention, with the IYC show fleet including 236’3’’ (72m) M/Y Solo, 165’ (49.9m) M/Y Samhan, 156’ (47.5m) M/Y Lilium, 153’ (46.40m) M/Y Eight and 151’1’’ (46.30m) M/Y Only One. They were joined at anchor by several more stand out vessels including 279’19’’ (85.1m) M/Y Valerie and the 289’ (88m) S/Y Maltese Falcon, all in easy reach by tender. Hundreds of different yachts anchored off the shore of Monaco made for a truly stunning sight.
With a very social focus, the Monaco Yacht Show was an ideal opportunity for IYC to partner with One&Only Resorts on two special events. On the second day of the show an exclusive evening cocktail party was hosted on board SOLO, allowing guests to enjoy the intimate setting and explore SOLO while sampling drinks and canapes. And on the 27 September the iconic Maltese Falcon was the setting for a special One&Only champagne reception and dinner, curated by One & Only Le Saint Geran Chefs. Both events were well attended, with VIP guests enjoying the world class hospitality of these two head-turning yachts. A special event with shipyard Bilgin and jewelry brand Chopard was also hosted on Lilium and another VIP event on Only One.
Those who were not able to attend the show will be able to get an inside glimpse at all the activity in Spring 2020, which will see the release of a special documentary by BBC2 – the BBC crew filmed the IYC team throughout the show for a candid look at the Monaco Yacht Show.
With the Monaco Yacht Show 2019 now over, the busy boat show season continues for IYC with upcoming events including the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) coming up from 30 October to 3 November 2019.
