IYC to present large fleet at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2019

4th October 2019
Hot on the heels of the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show comes another highlight in the superyacht events calendar, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, or more simply, FLIBS. Running from 30 October to 3 November the 2019 event expects to welcome over 110,000 visitors with over 52 countries represented – making it a truly international event. As the largest in-water boat show in the world, FLIBS has a staggering three million feet of exhibition space, with six miles of floating docks. In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the show’s foundation, FLIBS organisers have announced some exciting new features for 2019, including the debut of the Superyacht Village and Marina, located at the Pier 66 Hotel & Marina ‘South Pier’ property.
This Superyacht Village is described as the ultimate destination for superyacht enthusiasts at the show, and will feature the largest, most impressive, superyachts on display, including three vessels being showcased by IYC. Here, guests of the show will find exhibits, superyacht toy displays, car exhibitions, on site dining and pop up discovery areas. A number of exclusive VIP events will also be held, including some daily seminars from Superyacht Times which include invaluable subjects such as ‘the state of the superyacht market’, and ‘what makes superyachts sell?’. As one of seven sites that make up the show, the Superyacht Village is cleverly connected with the show’s main centre at the Bahia Mar Yachting Centre and five remaining locations by way of shuttles and water taxis.

In total, there will be over 1500 boats on display at FLIBS, which includes the IYC fleet of 236’ (72m) M/Y Solo, 177’ (54m) M/Y Bella, 164’ (50m) M/Y Silver Lining, 164’ (50m) M/Y Sotavento, 164(49.99m) M/Y Aspen Alternative, 161’ (49m) M/Y La Dea II, 147’ (44.81m) M/Y Atom, 130’ (39.6m) M/Y Relentless, 107’ (32.6m) M/Y Moni, 142’ (43m) M/Y Far From It, 88’7’’ (27m) M/Y Chillin and 87’ (26.53m) M/Y True.

IYC has a long relationship with the USA, with offices in key hubs around the country including Fort Lauderdale itself, and will have a stand plus strong team present throughout the show. The IYC team is looking forward to welcoming guests and helping to inform them of all that IYC has to offer. With a client-centric approach, IYC aims to empower clients with knowledge, and the team are always happy to discuss all aspects of ownership, buying, chartering and logistics.
