IYC to present large fleet at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2019
Hot on the heels of the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show comes another highlight in the superyacht events calendar, the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, or more simply, FLIBS. Running from 30 October to 3 November the 2019 event expects to welcome over 110,000 visitors with over 52 countries represented – making it a truly international event. As the largest in-water boat show in the world, FLIBS has a staggering three million feet of exhibition space, with six miles of floating docks. In celebration of the 60th anniversary of the show’s foundation, FLIBS organisers have announced some exciting new features for 2019, including the debut of the Superyacht Village and Marina, located at the Pier 66 Hotel & Marina ‘South Pier’ property.
This Superyacht Village is described as the ultimate destination for superyacht enthusiasts at the show, and will feature the largest, most impressive, superyachts on display, including three vessels being showcased by IYC. Here, guests of the show will find exhibits, superyacht toy displays, car exhibitions, on site dining and pop up discovery areas. A number of exclusive VIP events will also be held, including some daily seminars from Superyacht Times which include invaluable subjects such as ‘the state of the superyacht market’, and ‘what makes superyachts sell?’. As one of seven sites that make up the show, the Superyacht Village is cleverly connected with the show’s main centre at the Bahia Mar Yachting Centre and five remaining locations by way of shuttles and water taxis.
In total, there will be over 1500 boats on display at FLIBS, which includes the IYC fleet of 236’ (72m) M/Y Solo, 177’ (54m) M/Y Bella, 164’ (50m) M/Y Silver Lining, 164’ (50m) M/Y Sotavento, 164’ (49.99m) M/Y Aspen Alternative, 161’ (49m) M/Y La Dea II, 147’ (44.81m) M/Y Atom, 130’ (39.6m) M/Y Relentless, 107’ (32.6m) M/Y Moni, 142’ (43m) M/Y Far From It, 88’7’’ (27m) M/Y Chillin and 87’ (26.53m) M/Y True.

Her social and spacious layout, paired with smooth and steady cruising, make her an appealing prospect that is ready to begin enjoying immediately.
This Richmond motor yacht offers extensive space for a yacht of her size. Up to 10 guests are accommodated in spacious comfort, with guest areas including a full beam master with his and hers bathrooms. MCA compliant.
Elegant and spacious with high headroom throughout, Moni boasts large windows and elevated dining space, multiple outdoor spaces and water toys. Well maintained throughout her lifetime, in the hands of her long term crew, she is in beautiful condition.
A stylish Italian flybridge yacht, True is sleek and speedy with large volumes and has been well maintained since her launch. Welcoming eight guests in four spacious cabins, she has a timeless and modern décor featuring dark woods and cream soft furnishings.
The Multi Award Winner Solo is an iconic yacht built in 2018 by the Italian yard Tankoa with exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski and interior by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini. In as-new condition, she is a true masterpiece and has all the appeal of a new yacht but without the wait time.
In like-new condition Silver Lining is a pedigree yacht with huge volumes, a classic interior with large master cabin, generous spaces indoors and out including the sky lounge and sundeck, and features including a touch and go helipad. A turnkey yacht without the build time.
Likely the best of the ever-popular Golden Bay series, Sotavento has six staterooms and an excellent charter record. She has been lovingly maintained and has had a full W6 service on her MTU main engines as well as significant upgrades to her mechanical engine room systems and navigation communication equipment. She has a bright and airy interior, a fantastic sundeck, and garaged tenders.
This world-proven 50m Trinity has been impeccably maintained since launch with a full paint job completed in 2018. Boasting a massive swimming platform and vast sundeck she is able to reach a top speed of 21 knots. A proven world cruiser, with a world circumnavigation under her belt, she is well suited to the adventurous at heart.
Atom offers a huge volume and stylish design and is in excellent condition, with only one owner and less than 2000 hours of use. Offering an impressive amount of space for a yacht of her size, Atom’s wide beam and large volume give her spaces akin to those on a 165’ (50m) vessel.
Relentless delivers a clever design that maximises all spaces and a host of amenities. Relentless is a signature Westport design, blending contemporary styling with spacious layouts inside and out for guests to make to most of life on the water.
Built by Conrad Shipyards in 2005, with an exterior and interior by Dixon Yacht Design and input from her long term captain, this custom ‘mini megayacht’ offers all the best features of a larger yacht, including three decks, but in a smaller, easily run package.
