Sophia Tutino joins IYC as Global Charter Business Development Manager

Having grown up in Lyon, France, Sophia studied languages in both France and the United Kingdom, before completing her Master’s degree in International Marketing at the Ecole de Commerce Européenne. She began her career in yachting in 2007, working as Head of Charter at OceanStyle by Burgess out of both London and Monaco as Charter Manager and Charter Broker, whilst heading up the worldwide charter operations for seven years. She later worked for Ocean Independence as a Senior Charter Broker for over two years in their London office. Other roles have included a stint in the private aviation sector, working as Sales Director for a successful private jet start up.

This wealth and breadth of experience has given Sophia an enviable understanding and wide perspective when it comes to meeting and exceeding charter clients’ needs and expectations. Her combined knowledge across several luxury sectors, paired with operational business nous, will ensure a unique vision for IYC’s charter operations. In particular, her specialist niche understanding of the global charter business, having worked for so many years in this sector in high-up roles, will prove invaluable. Sophia is trilingual, speaking English, French and Italian, and is an individual member of MYBA (The Worldwide Yachting Association).
