Born in Brittany and raised on the Mediterranean coast, Cédric comes from a large family of commercial sailors. After completing his secondary education at the french Navy high school in Brest, he began his first class captain course in Marseille in 1992.
Cédric started his career as a merchant marine with a few years on board super tankers, then on exploration and off-shore oil production supply vessels on the west African coast before turning definitively to cruising and passenger ships. He then successively worked for Costa Cruises, Festival Cruises and SNCM (France-Corsica-Sardinia-North Africa transport) until his debut in the yachting industry in 2011 as Captain of motor and sailing yachts.
His training as a French first class Captain gives him the certificates of unlimited Captain and Chief Engineer . These two certificates and his long experience as an engine and as a deck officer give him a definite advantage in monitoring and understanding the problems that a ship may encounter.
