Michel Chryssicopoulos

Global Managing Partner

Michel, who is of Greek and Danish heritage, spent much of his childhood sailing the Greek islands, developing a lasting connection to the maritime world and a deep appreciation for the yachting lifestyle.
He studied International Business and Finance at Georgetown University. After graduating, he began his career in New York City as an investment banker with Merrill Lynch. His years in banking gave him valuable experience in finance, strategy, and international markets, skills that would later serve him well in the yachting industry.

In 2003, Michel returned to Athens to join his family’s yacht brokerage firm, where he led the yacht sales department and played an active role in expanding the company’s services and global presence by acquiring IYC in 2015. His hands-on leadership and collaborative approach helped strengthen IYC’s reputation as a trusted name in the yachting world. Today, Michel serves as the company’s Global Managing Partner, guiding its international strategy and supporting its teams across the world.

Michel has built a broad network of trusted relationships with shipyards, owners, and industry partners. His expertise is particularly focused on new build projects between 40 and 80 meters, where he works closely with clients to ensure a smooth and transparent process from concept to delivery. He remains deeply committed to providing the best service to IYC clients, always keeping their interests as his top priority.

He is based in Athens, where he lives with his wife and three daughters. Fluent in four languages, Michel enjoys traveling the world and spending time on the water with his family.
