Stewart Fontaine joined IYC in 2023 after having been a Sales & Charter Broker for four years, and a distinguished megayacht Captain for three decades. During his time as Captain on board successful charter yachts such as SYCARA V, MARTHA ANN, MIA ELISE and LAZY Z, Stewart not only cruised the most popular charter destinations around the globe, but had the unique opportunity to gain extensive experience in more remote areas such as the Pacific Northwest, Central America, the Galapagos Islands, Micronesia, Australia, and Tahiti.
As a Sales & Charter Consultant, Stewart draws upon his extensive experience with yacht operations, cruising destinations, new construction, refit, and regulatory requirements and provides his clients with the same level of service he was renowned for as a Charter Captain. He has the hands-on knowledge required to ask the right questions and to understand each client’s unique needs in order to find the right yacht for them to purchase or charter.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Stewart attended Indiana University and worked in Indianapolis and New Orleans prior to beginning his yachting career. He enjoys hiking and winter sports with his wife and their Bouvier des Flandres puppy, “Smokey” near their mountain hideaway in Breckenridge, Colorado. They also enjoy touring national and state parks in their leisure time.
