The owner had a detailed checklist of requirements, including large volumes with the accommodations and guest space of a 40-metre yacht but in a model no longer than 110’ (33.5m). The yacht also needed to have elegant, yet aggressive, exterior lines, be full tri-deck, offer five large staterooms, have an abundance of natural light and extensive social spaces both inside and out. “The design and spaces of Custom Line’s 33 Navetta model fit most of the client’s needs and we then worked with naval architect/designer Giuseppina Arena, who the owner had worked with in the past, to fully customise the model,” says Frank Jr.
The resulting yacht was a beautiful bespoke build that met, and exceeded, the owner’s wish list. “When developing the yacht, every detail of every space was discussed, discussed again, and executed to the satisfaction of the owner, and his particular needs,” says Frank Jr. “The team at Custom Line were extremely open minded to new ideas to improve and meet the demands of this experienced owner, and the results speak for themselves,” he says.
Mirabilis features an efficient semi-displacement hull, 25ft beam, five voluminous staterooms, bright open spaces that will soon house an incredible collection of art, and exterior spaces to rival any 40 metre yacht in the world. She is truly a yacht to be proud of and IYC is delighted to have been involved in the processing of brining her owner’s vision to life. Her proud owner and his family will take delivery in mid-May 2018, and will then spend the summer aboard cruising the Mediterranean.
