52.1m Feadship Superyacht, Gravitas, sold by IYC
IYC continues its run of recent sales with the completion of the sale of the 52.1m Gravitas, a true Feadship classic. IYC looked after both the buyer and the seller with Mark Elliott, of the IYC Fort Lauderdale office, representing the seller and Michel Chryssicopoulos, of IYC Greece, representing the buyer. Both brokers were able to take advantage of IYC’s strong global network to match seller with buyer.
Built in 1995 by Feadship, with a 2014 refit that included a brand new interior and full repaint, Gravitas’ luxury Sport Utility Vessel (SUV) design has aged beautifully. Carefully maintained throughout her life, her timeless lines by De Voogt Design mean she is just as an attractive sight today as the day she was launched. Designed to travel the world, Gravitas is incredibly seaworthy and has visited some of the world’s most alluring spots in the 21 years since her launch. Three spacious decks offer multiple outdoor spaces for guests, inlcuding a swim platform, Jacuzzi and beach club. The aft bridge deck is able to hold multiple tenders and is also home to a Touch and Go helipad to allow easy access to the yacht.
Gravitas features generous on board spaces, including eight cabins for up to 18 guests. Of particular note is the huge owner’s four room apartment of 12,000sqm which includes a cocktail bar and private living room and has 360° views across the ocean. The other guest cabins are located on the lower deck and accessed by a beautiful spiral staircase. Her classic interior reflects the timeless elegance of this beautiful yacht, making use of warm walnut and sumptuous fabrics.
Gravitas is one of many high pedigree yachts listed with and sold by IYC in recent months, including 55m Serenity, by Heesen Yachts which sold in April just three months after being listed for sale with the company.
