IYC is pleased to welcome pedigree yacht, Big Easy, to the charter fleet, listed by IYC Fort Lauderdale.
Built by Dutch shipyard Hakvoort in 2002, Big Easy has benefited from various refits throughout her lifetime and remains in immaculate condition. Her Andrew Winch Design interior is a mix of rich classic woods and neutral shades. In the main salon, her large interior volume is accentuated by a thoughtful arrangement of comfortable and formal seating areas. The salon and sky lounge both offer excellent AV and entertainment systems, including a Kaleidescape system featuring a variety of movies, iPod docking stations, and a Crestron control user interface.
Big Easy’s cabin layout lends itself well to large, mixed groups. Her master stateroom is located forward on the main deck and boasts its own ensuite private lounge. Her five additional cabins include three double staterooms, a twin, and a bunk bed set up with a top Pullman berth, each with an ensuite bathroom.
The multifaceted aft main deck features plenty of alfresco seating that can be used for dining or enjoying your evening cocktails. From here, the guests can easily access the swim platform which lends easy access to all the water sports and floating dock. The upper deck benefits from a twin U‐shaped dining area, a Portuguese walk-around bridge, and an inviting sky lounge. Upstairs on the sun deck, guests can enjoy warm days spent in the whirlpool spa and surrounding sunpads or take advantage of the teak dining table with seating for 12. Additional noteworthy amenities include a wet bar, electric awnings for those seeking shade, and dumb waiter access for ease of crew service.
Guests will be thoroughly entertained by Big Easy’s full complement of toys and work out equipment. Featuring wave runners, sea bobs, in-water swimming pool, and a towed tender, Big Easy is the epitome of a relaxing escape from reality.
Equipped with twin Caterpillar 3508B engines, Big Easy has a cruising speed of 12 knots and a maximum speed of 14 knots. She carries 15,000 US gallons of fuel giving her a range of 5,000 nautical miles. She also has zero speed stabilizers for ultimate guest comfort while underway. Her five-year class special survey was completed in the spring of 2018, and she is LY3 compliant.
Available to charter exclusively with IYC, Big Easy is based in Fort Lauderdale and will spend Winter 2020/21 in the Bahamas and the Caribbean, and Summer 2021 in the West Mediterranean. Her rates are Winter High: $175,000, Low: $150,000 and Summer High: €165,000 and Low: €150,000.
