IYC APPOINTS NEW GLOBAL HEAD OF INSURANCE AND FORMS IYC INSURANCE LTD
IYC is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Jacks as Global Insurance Director, with immediate effect. IYC is one of the world’s largest international yachting companies, employing over 100 professionals in 12 strategically located offices around the globe and one of the first yachting companies with an in-house dedicated team of insurance experts. IYC’s insurance department is responsible for managing marine insurances (such as Hull & Machinery, P&I and ancillary covers) and claims of more than 300 discerning yacht owners.
Following Brexit and in light of the continuing success of IYC’s London sales and charter office, the company just established a London based company, within their new address in the heart of Mayfair, which will serve as IYC’s global insurance HQ. The new company will operate under the name of IYC INSURANCE LTD and will be headed by Anthony Jacks, who will direct IYC’s global insurance operations.
With 18 years of experience in the yacht market, Jacks joins IYC from MS Amlin at Lloyd’s. He was previously Senior Underwriter for the syndicate Yacht and Marine Trades account and also managed the Lead Yacht MGA, a book of superyacht business. Commenting on his new role, Jacks states, “I am very pleased to join IYC. The opportunity to manage such an extensive portfolio of luxury yachts and superyachts is extremely compelling. The strategic step to establish a London footprint reinforces IYC’s commitment to providing their clients with access to leading (re)insurers and I look forward to fostering and strengthening trading relationships with our insurance partners.”
