Experience Italy: Amalfi Coast

DAY 1 - Naples

Arrive in the graphic city of Naples and depart immediately for the stunning East coast of Capri for evening/night anchorage nestled under the mind-blowing cliffs, near the home of famous Russian author Maxim Gorki. Swim in the crystal clear waters before enjoying a relaxing dinner. Spend the night at anchor surrounded by an Italian, beautiful landscape.

DAY 2 - Positano to Ravello

Depart anchorage after breakfast for Positano anchorage. A short tender ride ashore brings you to the many exclusive boutiques and beautiful surroundings. Return to the yacht for a late morning swim, maybe some watersports.  After lunch cruise to Amalfi anchorage. A car service can be arranged to take you to the beautiful Ravello village for the afternoon to return to the yacht for dinner. Alternatively visit Ravello early evening for a stroll around the main plaza, before pre-dinner drinks and then dine at the world-famous Michelin star Rossellini's restaurant at Palazzo Sasso. Transportation would then bring you back to the yacht at anchor for the night.

DAY 3 - Amalfi to Capri

The next morning take the tender into the port of Amalfi to explore the old town center. The spectacular Cathedral of Saint Andrews is well worth a visit to see the Paradise cloisters. Have coffee and cake at the famous bar opposite the cathedral before strolling back to your awaiting tender. The vessel would then depart for the south side of Capri with its stunning scenery for an afternoon at anchor sunbathing and water activities.

If sea conditions allow perhaps a visit to the famous Blue Grotto Caves, where you can enter the caves via a narrow entrance in the local wooden boats and an oarsman will navigate you around the narrow/dark caves which have turquoise shafts of light entering via the low narrow entrance only! This is best done in the afternoon for the best sunlight and accessibility if waves allow.

If desired we could enter the port of Marina Grande, Capri for the night (if available).

An evening ride up to the hilltop village in the old ‘Funicular’ rewards breathtaking scenery and pleasant strolls through the white-painted medieval streets, returning to the yacht in the port for dinner.

DAY 4 - Ischia

Depart the port after breakfast for Sant'Angelo located on the Southside of Ischia, explore the ancient fishing port after lunch, and enjoy a swim or water sports in the bay. For the evening head over to Maronti beach for the restaurant ‘Le Fumarole’ which has a small natural sauna and thermal bath. Night at anchor in this spot if weather conditions allow.

Alternatively head to the port of ‘Lacco Ameno’ on the Northwest side of the island where there is an unusual mushroom-shaped rock next to the marina. Local to Lacco Ameno there are various thermal spas, which can be visited for the ultimate relaxation. Enjoy a gourmet dinner onboard your yacht.

DAY 5 - Ponza, Palmarola and Ventotene

Depart for the Pontine Islands of Ponza, Palmarola, and Ventotene if good weather allows. Palmarola has beautiful bays and rock formations for swimming and exploring by tender. This is a quieter destination where you can enjoy peace and solitude in beautiful surroundings. Lunch and dinner aboard so you can spend the afternoon and evening swimming and playing water sports.

DAY 6 - Ventotene and the Port of Ischia

Making our way back toward Naples direction we depart after breakfast stopping at Ventotene to visit and explore the Roman port. Lunch at anchor before continuing to the old Port of Ischia, for the evening and night. The old Port of Ischia is a mixture of locals and Neapolitan tourists, with port side cafes, restaurants, and busy narrow shopping streets.

DAY 7 - Procida and Sorrento

Depart for the anchorage East of the Island of Procida, a small eclectic island worth a visit. Swim from the boat to escape the heat and have lunch at anchor.

Continue to Sorrento after lunch for our overnight anchorage. A tender can take you ashore to explore, then return to the boat for dinner. Or we can arrange car transportation to dine at Torre del Saracino on a terrace that overlooks the whole bay of Naples.

Pompei the Roman city which was engulfed in Volcanic ash and preserved is not far from Sorrento and a land excursion could be arranged to visit it if desired.

DAY 8 - Naples

Spend your last day in Naples; relax and have breakfast on the deck of your superyacht enjoying the magnificent Italian scenery for the last time before the vessel departs for Sannazzaro port, for guests departure around midday.
