IYC opens new office in Corfu
IYC has expanded its extensive international network with the opening of its new Corfu office in Corfu’s Gouvia Marina. Located in the Ionian sea, Corfu is a strategically important yachting location in both Greece and the wider Mediterranean region, and in easy reach of nearby Italy and Croatia. The new IYC Corfu office will be open year round, led by IYC Sales Consultant Yannis Stratis, and will provide customers with local assistance including tailored support from IYC’s full service offering.
Greece is fast becoming one of Europe’s most in-demand charter destinations, thanks to its many appeals including warm weather, a rich culture and endless islands and beaches to explore. Home of the new IYC Corfu office, the Gouvia Marina is a busy marina that services a fleet of more than 1700 yachts, with more than 5000 yachts ranging from 15 metres to 140 metres visiting every summer, and is the perfect base for yachts to explore Corfu, Greece and further afield,
Offering extensive knowledge on yacht management, technical and management issues, Yannis is a highly-qualified member of the IYC team who will be representing IYC’s brokerage activities both in Corfu and internationally. With a career including 14 years with Lloyd’s Register, Yannis is a qualified master mariner who also holds degrees in Maritime Law, Shipping Management and Marine Surveying and his past roles include work as a surveyor and business manager for leading ship owners in both the UK and Greece and Lloyds in London. IYC customers will be able to benefit from Yannis’ invaluable wealth of knowledge and experience.
