Celebrating everything that the beautiful Bahamas has to entice charter yachts, the focus of the show will be to demonstrate the range of luxury destinations and yachts available, and to show that despite the effects of 2019’s Hurricane Dorian on Grand Bahamas and the Abacos, the Bahamas remains very much open for business. With over 90% of the islands completely unaffected by the hurricane, there is an endless range of pristine destinations for charter vessels to visit. Brokers will use the event to meet with captains and crew, discovering the best new itineraries the Bahamas has to offer. In addition, some of the charter vessels that are already based in this chain of paradise islands will be showcased, including IYC’s 100’ (30.63m) M/Y Vida Boa.

100’ (30m) M/Y Vida Boa – Ferretti Custom Line 2012 / 2016

Vida Boa is a sporty and social Ferretti Custom Line that has been newly upgraded for the charter market. Her shallow draft makes her perfect for exploring the tropical Bahamian waters, and her excellent selection of water toys add to the fun. Five superb staterooms offer luxurious accommodation for up to 10 guests, with the master cabin located in prime position on the main deck.

Charter vessels that visit the Bahamas have a huge positive impact on the local economy, and this show is just as much about demonstrating the importance of this effect as showing what an incredible destination the Bahamas is. In this spirit, the show itself is a non-profit event, with all proceeds set to aid the Ranfurly Homes project The Step. This charity is an organisation that supports children who have been displaced due to an incredibly difficult start to life or as a result of Hurricane Dorian. The Step project assists young adults leaving the foster and group home system, giving them a safe accommodation and support as they move into the adult world. IYC is proud to be involved in an event that is supporting such worthy causes.

The event will be held between two marinas – Bay Street Marina and the luxurious One Particular Harbor at The Pointe. With a range of activities and events planned throughout the show, the yachts on display will be available for viewing on the Friday and Saturday, when the show runs from 9am until 6pm.
