Michael grew up on and around yachts in San Diego, California and began his yachting career at a young age by working at his family’s boatyard on Shelter Island. A junior sailor through SDYC since the age of nine, and spending many summers cruising on his family’s yachts, from the Thousand Islands on the East Coast, to Catalina, San Joaquin Delta, and the Pacific Northwest. Michael spent years extensively refitting his personal yacht a 1962 55’ Stephens Flush deck motor yacht along with several others after and continues his boating lifestyle with his two children Jace and Mia.

His professional career began in the real estate industry, before he combined his interest in sales with his passion for boating by taking a position with a major yacht brokerage firm. Michael has also founded and ran his own brokerage houses and over two decades within the brokerage community before joining IYC in 2022.

His professional expertise serves all aspects of yachting with focus on the large yacht segment of the industry.
